What a fantastic DigiTech Open Day!

It was a privilege to welcome educators from across WA to Harrisdale Primary School and share some of the ways we are using technology to support creativity, collaboration and learning.

Across the day, visitors engaged in a range of workshops exploring purposeful technology integration, digital creativity, AI, student learning and practical classroom ideas. It was wonderful to see such rich professional conversations and a shared commitment to strengthening digital capability across schools.

A small power hiccup kept us on our toes, but it certainly didn’t define the day. Thank you to our staff, students and visitors for making the day such a positive and inspiring experience.

Step into a school where strong pedagogy and purposeful technology come together to deepen learning. This year’s Open Day explores how intentional iPad integration supports knowledge building, critical thinking and student agency across K–6. Rather than focusing on devices alone, we’ll showcase how technology is used with purpose to strengthen teaching, enhance understanding and support schools in building their digital capability.

Throughout the day, visitors will experience interactive classroom tours, showcases and practical workshops highlighting how digital tools can support deep learning across all curriculum areas. You’ll see how technology is used to make thinking visible, support collaboration and enable students to create, explain and demonstrate their understanding in meaningful ways.
