So pumped to be in The Blue Room's mentoring program for my next art installation!! 😄

I've been under the steady eye of prop-builder & scenic designer Sam Knox, and can I just say IT'S BEEN A DELIGHT. By the end of this mentorship, we'll have covered a raft of practical skills specific to Theatre Arts, including using power tools, different types of glue, castors, and foam carving.🪚

I'll also be deploying some of the magic I learnt from an Immersive Experience-making course I did with Peter Higgin (co-founder of Punchdrunk Theatre & Punchdrunk Enrichment UK). I came out of that course a changed woman!! 🥹

So what's coming up?

My large-scale interactive artwork "Please Keep On The Grass" will be on display for the entirety of the WINTER NIGHTS performance season.

Entry is free and you are invited to BRING A MIRROR (any condition) as a donation.🪞

Please consider buying tickets to other parts of WINTER NIGHTS: Dance, Music, Theatre, Cabaret. These creatives are my fellow mentees! 🙌

It was not so long ago that every House was a Home.
But something has gone terribly wrong.
And we need your help.

The floor is lava.
And the lava is The Housing Crisis.
And The Housing Crisis is brimming with broken dreams (via shattered mirrors).

Will you help us find the people who've lost their dreams?

Will you help someone feel seen?

1. Bring a mirror (any condition). If you didn't bring a mirror, visit Ground Floor Reception to pick up a Foil Mirror (and a pebble anchor so it doesn't float away).

2. Use your mirror to activate the lift. This releases the magic that helps you complete your task.

Once upstairs, you enter a new world. A world where we have reclaimed control of the verges from those who told us to Keep Off The Grass.

3. Place your mirror carefully. How do you see yourself?

🌾 MAKURU VIBES 🌾

Hi everyone it's Lima, I'm back from Melbourne!

I was wondering who gets the S.A.D.s (Seasonal Affective Disorder)? I know I do! 🌦️

As we move into the wettest & coldest season of the year (Makuru), let's keep our collective chin up, and always look towards bringing out the best in each other. 💕

Here's some words from peeps who stopped at the booth last Friday at the Norfolk:

🌾 "How do you know SO MANY great songs? It's amazing, I love it!"
🌾 "Love love love the tunes! Awesome!!"
🌾 "Go the disco! Happy Pride Month!!" (it is Pride month overseas 🏳️‍🌈)

These comments at the DJ desk typically never make it onto other types of media to be seen by the general public (such as Google reviews, entertainment directories, and so on). Which is why I love sharing them here. 😊

Next week I'll be slipping into some slightly-sleeker tunes, to roll with the changing of the seasons. But I'll always be bright by name and bright by nature. 🪾🌈✨
