Five more years together with TITELINE GROUP.
Bill Ricciardi came down to Mudex HQ in Canning Vale this week for a catch-up, and he and Dave etched another 5-year extension to the Mudex and TITELINE GROUP partnership.
Mudex has been supplying drilling fluids and on-the-ground technical support to Titeline's operations for years now. That kind of partnership doesn't just run on product. It runs on trust, honest conversations, and people who actually show up to get things done on on-site.
When you take steps to keep working together into the future, It means the product is doing its job. The technical support works. And the people on both sides actually want to keep building something together.
Proud of what the two teams have built. Looking forward to what comes next.
To the Titeline crew — here's to the next chapter. Cheers guys 🤝

John McKnoulty and the team have been out on site running a trial that optimised how dewatering wells get installed.
We're not ready to share the full numbers just yet.
But what we can say is the results have been genuinely impressive.
The trial involved a new methodology using Kla Bore, pumped through a hollow stem auger to stabilise boreholes during well installation.
The goal was simple. Faster installs. Less rigging. Less risk of damaging the well pipe.
First day of the trial and the client was already seeing production rates double what they'd been getting with the conventional approach.
John and the team were on site every day providing support, dialling in the mix ratios, and making sure the process ran smoothly from the first hole to the last during the program.
The client's feedback was about as good as it gets.
Full results, methodology breakdown, and the numbers behind it are coming soon.

Bad mixing equipment costs more than people realise.
Not just in product waste. In inconsistent fluid properties, poor hole conditions, and time spent troubleshooting problems that started at the mixing tank.
The industry has gone from basic mixing setups straight to centrifuges and high-end solids control. That is a big jump.
What often gets skipped in the middle is reliable, efficient mixing equipment that actually hydrates your polymers properly.
Here is why that matters.
You need homogeneous mixing. If the product is not properly mixed through the system, you are not getting the viscosity profile you need.
What goes downhole is only as good as what comes out of the tank.
Consistent fluid properties depend on consistent mixing. That means stable viscosity readings, predictable gel strengths, and a fluid that actually does its job at the bit.
It sounds simple. But it is one of the most overlooked parts of a drilling fluids program.
Get your mixing right and everything downstream gets easier.

From 160 metres per bit to 391 metres.
Two 12-hour shifts down to two 8-hour shifts.
SJ Drilling runs 2000m+ exploration holes in South Africa's platinum fields. These are experienced operators working in demanding ground. They knew their craft.
What they didn't have was a fluid program built for their specific conditions.
Soluble iron in their influx water was silently breaking down their liquid polymer system. It's not the kind of thing you'd pick up without digging into the chemistry. Their previous supplier never caught it.
Heinrich Hoops and the Mudex Africa team identified it early.
From there it was a full rebuild alongside the SJ Drilling crew. A switch to a PAC-based program using VIS PAC RD, PENETREX and DD5000. Custom IBC mixing setups built on site. Settling sump redesign to stop cuttings being recycled back down hole at depth.
That's what happens when a capable crew gets the right support.
Reach out and let's take a look if you need a hand. 🔩

Five years with Mudex, Dean. Not a small thing.
Dean is the guy behind every order that leaves our warehouse. Picking, packing, loading. Day in, day out. If it goes out the door right, Dean had a hand in it.
But that is only part of the story.
Off the clock he is a respected referee and umpire in local sport. At lunch he is the one making the whole room laugh. And at home he is the kind of dad you hope your kids get to have.
What stands out most though is this. Even on the days when things are not going his way, Dean is still the first one to drop a kind word on someone else. That is not a small thing either.
He is the kind of person who reminds you what showing up with a good heart actually looks like.
Five years of reliability. Five years of heart. Five years of being exactly who you say you are every single day.
Thank you Deano. Mudex is better for having you in it. Here is to many more. 🤝

Keep your eyes on the road in Victoria.
But if you spot a Mudex-wrapped car cruising around, feel free to honk.
Shaun's just hit the roads in our very first wrapped vehicle.
This one's been a long time coming.
For a company that's been doing the work since 2014, it feels good to finally be a bit more visible out on the road when visiting our customers.
If you're in Victoria and you see it pull up on site or go past on the freeway, give him a wave.

Sticky clay killing your production?
John got a call from Jason Bloomfield to get this hashed out.
Clay blocking up pipes and hoses. Flow slowing down. Drilling slowing down.
It's one of those problems that sounds simple but costs serious time on site.
So we ran a trial with X Det 202 and Clay Breaker to test a solution.
Early results are encouraging.
No drama. No complicated process. Just a straightforward product combination doing what it's supposed to do.
We'll be sharing more as the results come in.
Stay tuned.
If sticky clay is giving you headaches on site right now, reach out. We're happy to talk through what might work for your setup.

To the Mudex mums, past and present — thank you.
Whether you are running logistics from the office, or holding the whole operation together behind the scenes, you show up every single day.
And to every mum out there working on site, on the rig, or anywhere in between, the industry is better for having you in it.
The women in the Mudex team don't just contribute, they set the standard.
We see you. We appreciate you. Happy Mother's Day. 💛
To all the mums reading this — we hope you get a moment this weekend to rest and have a good break and get taken out for lunch!
and shoutout team Wonbon Pty Ltd too !

Most drilling fluid problems start the same way.
Cuttings settle. Hole cleaning suffers. The job slows down.
XAN VIS is built to fix exactly that.
It is a high-performance polymer that keeps cuttings in suspension and maintains effective hole cleaning efficiency — even in demanding conditions.
Here is what it does in the ground:
Strong suspension properties hold cuttings in your anulus, reducing the risk of stuck pipe.
Consistent viscosity builds quickly and performs reliably across a range of formations and fluid systems.
Compatible with fresh water, salt water and a range of other drilling fluid programs — which means fewer complications on site.
Geotechnical, water well, mineral exploration and HDD — if hole cleaning matters on your site, this one is worth knowing about.

Good arvo from Cairns.
John spent the morning doing the rounds up here in Far North QLD. Catching up with clients and touching base, and getting everything sorted with Russell at Samios here in Cairns.
The good news for drillers in the region.
We've now got stock on the floor and ready to go.
HDD, exploration, water well. The essentials are here, local, no waiting on freight from down south.
For anyone operating across Far North Queensland, you've now got a closer option for your drilling fluids needs.
It's been a while since I've been back up here. Grew up in this part of the world, so it was good to catch up with some familiar faces alongside the work.
If you're drilling in the region and want to know what's available through Samios Cairns, feel free to reach out.
Have a good one. 🤙
