π 2025/26 PSW Series β Official Notice
The Pro Speedcar Group (PSG), management team of the Pro Speedcar Week (PSW), regret to advise that the series will not proceed for the 2025/26 season.
Following its return and two strong and encouraging years, several strategic adjustments were introduced this season β including aligning with mainstream Sprintcar events and scheduling changes β to further promote the Speedcar class. However, despite positive momentum and exciting developments within the class, including the addition of NAPA Speedway in Adelaide this November, competitor commitment to the PSW has unfortunately declined.
We hold deep respect for the high standards the PSW Series strives to deliver β not only to the world-class tracks that support us, but also to our valued corporate partners. With a limited number of drivers seeking commitment to a full series campaign this season, we cannot guarantee the on-track quality that our series, venues, and the incredible Speedcar class deserves.
As a result, PSW will take a one-year break while we reassess, regroup, and plan for the future.
Lee Redmond (PSG) on the future
βWhile this temporary pause isnβt ideal, it gives us a real opportunity to reset, work with Speedcars Australia, listen to the competitors, and work collaboratively to deliver a bigger and better series in 2026.
We must thank those who did express interest and were keen to support the series and division, you guys have been amazing but unfortunately the numbers declined for whatever reason to a level that was challenging for us to make it work this year.
The PSG team β including passionate volunteers Trav (Travis Mills), Andy (Andy Pearce), and myself β remain fully committed to promoting and growing Speedcar racing. Weβre disappointed to miss this season, but excited to support the class through other avenues, especially as Speedcars share centre stage at NAPA later this year.β
We sincerely thank our supporters, venues, and partners for their ongoing belief in PSW. We look forward to returning stronger in 2026 and continuing our shared mission of growing Speedcar racing across the region.
Regards
The Pro Speedcar Group (PSG)

Vale Jim Lock
On behalf of PSW Management and all the teams associated with Pro Speedcar Week, we are saddened to hear of the passing of Jim Lock.
Since the revitalisation of PSW, Jim has been a passionate and great supporter of the series. He always met the staff and teams at the pit gate with a smile, and did all he could to make everyone's time at the venue a positive one.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.
Thanks for everything you did for us all Jim, it will never be forgotten.

GETTING ORGANISED EARLY!
Although the 2025/26 season is still officially a few months away, the Pro Speedcar Group have been working hard behind the scenes since the 2025 version of the Pro Speedcar Week wrapped up, and it is because of that that today we can release the new season PSW schedule!
There have been some exciting developments with next season's series already, as the PSG have been able to join forces with Sprintcar Speedweek for two rounds, running alongside the series at the Mount Gambier and Warrnambool rounds, which will certainly allow us to showcase PSW to a much larger audience than previous years!
It is for this reason that the series has been brought forward to start in late December, finishing in early January.
Kicking off at Mount Gambier on December 28, the PSW will venture to the Borderline venue for the second year running.
Laang Speedway is a new track for the series to venture to: a small, high-banked track, similar to a micro track in the states, it will provide some really cool, super close racing for our teams!
Premier Speedway is back on the schedule again, this time on New Years Day, while the series will come to a close this season the following night at the Simpson Speedway.
Although it will be a while before we open up expressions of interest, this early announcement should give teams plenty of notice to begin preparations as we look to make this series the biggest and best we have ever had!

IT CAME DOWN TO ONE POINT!
The Energy Hire WA Pro Speedcar Week was an epic competition across each of the four nights, so it is only fitting that the overall Series came down to just one point!
When the dust settled it was Jack McCarthy (Hardwyer Murphy Motorsport) who has topped the points charts with 1111 points, while Caleb Mills (Mills Motorsport) finished second by one solitary point in what was an epic finish.
Third placed Kaleb Currie (Hardwyer Murphy Motorsport), who claimed the final round feature win, was a mere five points further back while Nick Parker (Allcott Hire - PMT Racing - V39) was another five points further back in fourth place, meaning the top four was separated by just eleven points!
Dylan Menz (Menz Motorsport) was consistent throughout the series to come home with a solid top five finish while Luke Storer (Luke Storer Racing) would come home sixth overall with Jay Waugh (KEWL Motorsports), Tom Payet (Bennett Motorsport), Mitch Saunderson (Mitch Saunderson Racing) and Nathan Smee rounding out the top ten overall.
A huge congratulations to all drivers who contested the PSW this season and we can't wait to do it all again in 2026!

Currie Wins the Finale!
Tonight at the Premier Speedway, Warrnambool, Kaleb Currie (Hardwyer Murphy Motorsport)put in a great performance to grab the feature win in the fourth and final round of the Pro Speedcar Week.
It was a huge night of racing that saw its fair share of thrills and spills, including Dillon Ghent (Ghent Motorsport) going upside down in heat one after collecting the wall and Jesse Nicholas looping his #7 machine in heat two and leaving Rhys Birkett (Birkett Racing "The Real Deal") nowhere to go, both cars rolling over in the same place as Ghent earlier.
Despite the crashes, eighteen of the nineteen cars who started the night would start the feature, but everyone got a bit excited on the first start, seeing it called back quickly. Considering that the Series points were on the line with any number of cars capable of taking the overall win, the excitement was certainly understandable.
The second start saw everyone fighting hard, Dylan Menz (Menz Motorsport) getting the initial lead as Nick Parker (Allcott Hire - PMT Racing - V39) utilised the bottom to move into second ahead of Tom Payet (Bennett Motorsport) who shot into third ahead of last start winner Jack McCarthy (Hardwyer Murphy Motorsport).
The first and only yellow of the race came out on lap three as Luke Storer (Luke Storer Racing) found himself spinning to a stop, the field forced to line up nose to tail for another attempt with Storer resuming from the rear.
Menz led away running the highline, Parker stuck to the low line and Payet would also lock onto the top of the track, no one making any ground at the front until Payet went for a move on lap five, the two making contact as Payet managed to get into second before suddenly slowing and heading infield with a flat left rear tyre.
This would leave Menz well ahead of Parker, with Currie, McCarthy and Mitch Saunderson (Mitch Saunderson Racing) rounding out the top five with eight complete.
Parker did all he could to hold on to second as lap after lap Currie would apply the blowtorch, sliding by a number of times, but each time Parker was able to hold the position as they crossed the line.
At the halfway point Mez was out to a one and a half second lead ahead of Currie with Parker, McCarthy and Nathan Smee now rounding out the top five.
Luke Storer bounced back from his earlier issues and raced his way back into sixth, getting by Smee for fifth on lap nineteen, while up front Menz was starting to have his lead chipped into, Currie starting to get a wriggle on and closing the gap to half a second with eight laps to go.
The lead duo approached lapped traffic shortly after, and all of a sudden Currie put the slidejob on Menz to take the lead with six to go, while further back McCarthy was under pressure from Storer, who would move into fourth.
Currie, Menz, Parker, Storer and McCarthy were the top five with five laps to go, but Storer certainly wasnβt going to be content with that, grabbing third from Parker with three laps remaining.
From here the order remained unchanged, Currie going on to record his first ever PSW feature race win after coming so close on four occasions previously defeating Menz who grabbed his first ever PSW podium and Storer. Featuring on the podium means Currie also now has the equal most podium finishes in PSW history, joining the great Nathan Smee with five in what was an epic way to finish the series.
A full points wrap up with be posted shortly.
