A BIG happy birthday to this man!
My young brother, Angelo played an important role when I released my debut album ‘Officer in Charge.’ He literally helped sell copies of my album on CD and cassette. He would pack a bag and come back with money. He pushed for my success!
I was born May 27 and he was born May 28.
I celebrate his life and the blessing that he has always been upon my life. Just to be clear, we were not born in the same year. Ha, ha! I know some people might get confused!
Peace and God bless! We all need to have a brother like this. I appreciate this man dearly 🙏🏽

When Tim Thugga started making a buzz on the underground, Diamond Chain had just started making a bit of noise on the radio. In fact, we were doing too much.
Someone told me about Tim "Thugga" Chisenga. They said "The kid is good and, he wants to meet you. I always never got the chance to meet him but this one day, I actually made the effort and we linked. Thugga had a walkman and some earphones, and he let me hear his demo at the Kabulonga shops. I think he was in his Kabulonga Boys School uniform that day. I used to go this Internet Cafe so, that was my prefered meeting spot.
Anyway, I immediately took a liking to not just his style of rap but his aura as a good person. The kid was extremely talented but also very respectful and you can't help but respect back somone like that. Back then Tim used to call himself "Thugga" and he was really in his T.I. phase and he was so into it, he would kill the accent too. Tim came on board Diamond Chain when the heat was on. I was in a public feud with the late Chila Penza and his boy in the US, Blaze Makumba. Thugga was riding for the cause. He just wanted to go at him. Ha, ha!! I always had to just stop him and say "Nah!! We're not doing this." Ha, ha!! The boy was always trigger happy and ready to snap.
One day, in order to help get him known to the public and to officially announce that he was offically part of Diamond Chain, I got him to open for me at The Olympic Swimming Pool.
Thugga jumped on stage, danced and rapped at the same time. Even I wasn't expecting him to do that. Turns out we were both Michael Jackson fans!! Anyway, the crowd went insane.
David Lishoma, who people popularly know as Dee Lee on Facebook was the host of the event. At this point, he realised how much talent I had gathered in my crew and he came to me saying "Boyi, ubafumya kwisa abaiche aba ayi?" (Bro., where do you get these kids from?").
Fast Forward, I left for England and no one to run DC so things fell apart and Thugga started working with Holstar and, I think that was an amazing outcome.
When we beefed, he was the only one I was mostly responding to and the only one in the group that I felt would be a challenge but I was ready for it. When I recorded my response and was about to release it, I found out the beef was caused by people from my crew who in my opinion were jealous of Zone Fam so, I let the beef go because once I found out the truth, my job was to w**d out any bad seeds internally. Plus, I had said a lot of things on the song. It featured my late frien and Diamond Chain affiliate, D-Roots. The irony about it is, D-Roots and Thugga actually really loved each other as brothers. I really admired that Thugga joined us and found someone he could really joke and laugh with while I was mostly the Creative Director and just happy to see all my nigguz getting along.
