An impromptu astro trip with Nat last night had us up at Boulder Rock, I’ve never shot astro here and always wanted to explore the formations surrounding the main area.

This was the close to the shot I had in mind.

It was was a cold, smokey and foggy night and with the moon rising early we only had limited time.

As we were shooting down the side we noticed two people climbing up the side yelling Alex, Alex! They spotted us (staying very still) and started to walk over, I yelled out “can you please please not come down here has you’re freaking us out” 😳 all respect to them both, they replied with a “sorry we didn’t mean too” and started to walk away.

We decided to call it a night. I have to say I so much prefer shooting astro in the middle of the Wheatbelt where you can see everything around you.

The light at this spot was absolutely stunning! I know some will not like the bright sun behind the tree but lucky it’s about what I like, what I saw, what I experienced in this moment.

Couldn’t resist heading to my fav jetty on an awesome stormy night!

I love seeing all the parents take thier kids down to stand on the jetty and get totally soaked by the incoming storm swell. Good old fashion fun 🌊🌬️

I wonder what the night will bring us and the morning reveals?
