We’re Taking a Team Time-Out!

We’ll be closed from 12pm today until 5pm Monday while our team comes together for some exciting staff training, team building, and a well-earned celebration of everything we’ve achieved.

Major oil leak repair completed on a 2012 Porsche Panamera (970) at Euro Technik Subiaco.

This job required full upper sump removal and resealing - a significant task on these platforms, involving strip-down to crankcase level to access the failed sealing surfaces.

🔧 Work carried out:
* Engine stripped to access upper sump housing
* Complete removal of old sealant and contamination
* Precision cleaning and surface preparation
* Installation of new gaskets and seals (Elring components)
* Correct sealant application and torque sequencing
* Reassembly and inspection of timing and ancillary components

These engines are known for upper sump leaks due to sealant degradation over time, and getting the repair right requires precision and experience.

This is not a “quick reseal” — it’s a precision job that requires experience, patience, and attention to detail to get right the first time.

A great day with our Fremantle technical team, taking time out of the normal workshop rhythm to focus on training, shared knowledge and practical development.

Jesse hosted the day, but what made it especially valuable was that it never felt like a one-way presentation. The topics were collated by the technical team themselves, based on the areas they felt would create the most value and help bring everyone onto a stronger, more consistent level playing field.

Across the day, the team worked through practical examples covering electrical load testing, wiring diagrams, diagnostic processes, PicoScope testing, VW timing belts, air conditioning diagnosis, correct oil level checks, workshop equipment use and more.

Most importantly, there was plenty of collective knowledge shared between team members — the kind of real-world experience that helps us become more precise, more efficient and more confident in our diagnostic calls and mechanical processes.

A valuable day for the team, and a great example of the continual growth and learning that drives Euro Technik forward.
