Hi all.

I am writing this here in hopes that enough will see it and pass it on. I've tried emailing many for whom I have emails but haven't been able to avoid most being bounced back as spam. Working on a solution now. I have also lost a lot of our customer list due to corrupted files as well. Unfortunately because of health problems due to a heart condition we have ceased to produce our kayaks and closed the factory in Willetton. I am now retired and living a mobile life in Carnarvon with my rabbit. We plan to travel onward in time, probably headed for the Southwest next. I am now a grey gypsy as I had long predicted I would be in my final tour.

We have a good supply of seats, paddles and some other items which were kept knowing they were likely needed by our customers in time. These are bulky and impractical to continue moving as we move about so I am offering them for sale to our customers at a significantly reduced price in order to clear the stock. The following prices are all inclusive of postage and we hope they can be of help to any who need them. If any interest please contact me by email or phone and we can arrange to send them direct to your address.

My phone number as always remains 0408 161 103.

I hope you still enjoy your kayaks and will of course be delighted for any news and word from any of our much loved customers. Any questions or assistance with which we can help are also welcome. In addition to the list given we have some other parts and fittings as well so you only need to ask and in all cases I am making the price as affordable as possible because the logistics of living in a caravan as we do does not leave much room for the excess and it is my desire to clear as much as possible before moving again by the end of the year. The seats are particularly good value for the price I believe and are by far the biggest problem for storage so I am doing them so cheaply. I have listed them on Market place but have not had much response thus far. I can also do better even for multiple items. Mainly I need to cover the postage and little more.

With kind regards

Steve (plus Bindy the rabbit)

All prices include postage to your address.

Adjustable seat with brass buckles and bag $40
2-piece paddle black $30
6 inch hatch with bag insert $10
Drainage b**g $5
5 metre ratchet tiedown (pair) $10

Hi. It's been a while since anybody who hasn't sought me out directly has heard anything about us. In brief explanation. Following the move, we had set the oven and factory up and run the first few test cycles when a health sent me to hospital and the next year was spent with surgery and recovery. While that was happening, a problem arose with a hostile party who used legal deception and subterfuge to force me out of my home and business rendering me homeless by the time I was able to access my factory and personal property. The property it was on was also sold and with no means to move the factory again let alone set it up once more having used everything to do it the first time, I had to call it a day.

Today I live in a mid sized mobile home, with a rabbit naturally. We are preparing to move from our location in The Wheatbelt, to the Midwest. We have a lot of some items such as hatches, b**gs, seats, paddles and some life-vests. Also dog life-vests. Particularly though we have seats and paddles. I am unfortunately not in a location which is very useful for anyone needing them.

I am seeking a partner or two among our customers who might want to help find homes for these which will I know be needing replacement for many of our customers no less. There's a few cubic meters of stock and if someone can store and distribute it we can get as much of these out as we can, at great prices while they last. To contact phone Steve on 0408161103. The same as always. Any messages to this FB page will reach me too or to my personal page which I will identify by posting a comment here. My regards and best wishes are extended to everyone we have known. Escape Kayaks was when all is said and done, the best thing I ever did. The most satisfying and enjoyable career I knew and which filled more than half of my working life. I know many of our kayaks will be around long after I am gone. The best part of it for me, was the people who took them home over more than twenty years. It was my privilege in many cases to have made and sold them and overwhelmingly a joy for me as well. Thank you.

With love and gratitude. Steve Pallister and a rabbit.

We have ceased production and have only been tending to a few customers in the 2 years since moving from Willetton. My health and the economic toll on the industry from the ubiquitous cheap imports overcame our ability to stay above water. We have a quantity of stock of seats, hatches and bags, as well as paddle straps and soft roof racks which are for sale. I've posted the ads in my personal account and will copy them all here.

I'm living, {with my rabbit of course} at Gingin, which is not convenient for most of our customers I realise. However, I will deliver them to an address close to our old place once I have ensured there's interest enough. Of course we can post as well.

My most sincere ell wishes are extended to all our customers. Managing Escape Kayaks was a pleasure and heart-felt commitment to a product I believed wholeheartedly in and still do. Only the ravages of time and capriciousness of the economy, both bigger than me have stopped us eventually and I am sorry to be saying this is the end. I enjoyed more than two decades of meeting and often becoming friends with so many of you. I remain as always at the service of any of you who require it and hopefully can be of help. My kayaks will outlive me I am sure. Because the upper and lower limits of both are known.

With sincerest love and good wishes to you all. I hope you still enjoy your kayaks and that you will continue to do so for many years to come.

--- Steve.

We will be increasing the number and range of kayak accessories we carry closer to Christmas and in the new year. New seats coming are easier to adjust and fit than the ones we now use and more comfortable for reclining support. We already carry dry sacks, trolleys, paddle straps, soft roof racks, tie-downs, anchors and life vests among other things but will have some better priced items soon as options and with our logo on many of these indicating our approval of the quality.

New seats, paddle straps and trolleys are expected in time for Christmas. You can contact us to notify when they arrive or watch for notices here.

Our Escape Kayak Pacer XS is still after it was first designed 25 years ago in New Zealand the only sit-on-top which is so versatile and easy to transport. There are countless ways of utilising the design to ensure security (bike chain or cable through the scupper holes or drain holes) and a practical solution alone on roof racks including soft ones the best of which we sell and any standard roof rack.

Many of our customers have customised trailers, caravans and campers to take these. Of the few examples I just found going back through a few years and just today you will see various solutions and there are many more but what you need never see in any picture of our kayaks being transported is Kayak cradles on the roof racks. Our kayaks do not need these, they are silly things when not being used and in our case, are not even as easy and secure a load as we can achieve without them.

Hi everyone. You have not heard from us in a while. This year we are up against a veritable horde of new fronts selling imported Cheapo kayaks. Some are going to considerable effort to hide the origins of their products but as far as I know nobody else is making sit-on-top kayaks in WA except us. A few have pretended otherwise but been caught out by people who had seen us first and knew what to look for.

In keeping with our desire to survive we are starting off what has already begun as a bumper season with some really extraordinary discounts. Hoping to get our numbers back to historic highs and we can maintain these prices even.

We are selling at prices which literally smash the importers out of the park but are not talking too much about it yet publicly. They can do such prices for a season but not maintain it. With enough customers we can maintain it and drive out the worst of the invaders.

Come in and see us anytime and prepare to be surprised at the deal you can get.
