Kuuwa Rentals has officially reached 7 years!
What started with light vehicles heading to site on the back of trucks has grown into convoys of heavy plant and equipment moving across WA, from down south, up through the Pilbara, NT and everywhere in between. Along the way, we’ve also grown a strong and dedicated team who continue to drive Kuuwa forward every day. As we grow, we’re putting work into improving how we operate behind the scenes, making sure our systems and processes continue to support the way we deliver for our clients.
That growth has been made possible through the trust and support of our clients, partners, people, and a strong supplier network we’re proud to work alongside, thank you for being part of the journey.
As a proudly Indigenous-owned business, Kuuwa is closely aligned with Buurabalayji Thalanyji Aboriginal Corporation and its long-term community vision. Giving back remains a key focus, from providing housing to support trainees and employment pathways, to supplying purpose-built vehicles for the BTAC Ranger Program so members can stay connected to and care for their Thalanyji Country.
Seven years on, we’re proud of how far the business and our team have come, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.

Something a little different is happening in the yard…
Our new custom-built BBQ trailer is currently in the process of being prepared for mobilisation to a regional community town.
Supporting communities and delivering tangible outcomes has always been at the heart of what we do at Kuuwa. Following the success of the Newman Tucker Truck, this new trailer is another way we can provide practical, impactful assets.
Once ready, it will support a wide range of community activities, from youth training and employment pathways to local events and fundraisers.
It will also reduce the challenge of transporting equipment between venues, providing a professional, accessible, and sustainable resource for the town.
Logo to come and more information soon on this exciting new partnership.
Stay tuned.

Today we say farewell to Megan MacNeill, our Chief Marketing Officer, who has been with Kuuwa since the very beginning.
When Wes first met Megan, she didn’t know the difference between an LV and yellow goods, but that never stopped her. She got stuck in, learned quickly and became an integral part of how Kuuwa looks and operates today.
Megan built our brand from the ground up and led our marketing and communications with creativity and intent. She also played a key role in developing and implementing our Quality Management System, helping to strengthen the way we operate as a business.
Beyond that, Megan championed our community engagement, ensuring Kuuwa stayed connected to the communities that support us.
Her creativity, commitment and energy have helped shape Kuuwa into the business it is today.
We’re grateful for everything Megan has contributed and wish her every success in her next chapter, she’ll always be part of the Kuuwa story.

You might see Darren pop up on your feed often talking about our fleet options, but behind him is a whole team that keeps things moving.
Many of you will know Charlotte, our first point of contact for all clients, who keeps communication clear and everything running smoothly.
Warren, our Fleet Manager, makes sure every vehicle is built and delivered to spec, while Lauren and Pamela keep things running in the yard checking, prepping and handing over each vehicle ready for site.
This is the team that brings Kuuwa’s fleet to life every day. 👏

Last month Wes and Buurabalayji Thalanyji Aboriginal Corporation - BTAC CEO, Kunal Malhotra, headed to Broome for the official opening of the KMSB - Kimberley Marine Support Base (KMSB).
Once on site, the scale of the new floating dock is incredible to see up close.
It was a massive turnout to mark an important milestone for the region and a credit to the hard work of the KMSB team.
Thank you to Andrew Natta, MD of KMSB, for the invitation and congratulations on delivering such a significant development for the Kimberley.
It was a quick trip, up in the morning, back in Perth that evening, but well worth it.
We look forward to continuing our support across both the OMSB - Onslow Marine Support Base and KMSB facilities.

This lighting tower was looking a bit cleaner last time we saw it… got to love a coat of Pilbara red dirt!
When it went down, our fitters were straight on the job to get it back up and running. Big thanks to the crew who keep the lights on out here.

When he’s not managing all things fleet at Kuuwa, Darren often ends up in front of the camera alongside our latest assets.
So when the Scania Group team wanted to feature our new Scania Irizar hybrid coach bus, of course we sent Darren along too.
As the first bus of its kind in Australia, this one is a big step forward for our Charge Forward program and a great example of innovation in hybrid fleet hire.

This time a couple of weeks ago, some of were lacing up for the Chevron City to Surf, while the rest of the crew were recovering from a big night out supporting MADALAH at their annual ball.
What we do together outside the office is just as important as the work we do to keep the business moving. The fun, shared experiences make the day-to-day easier and remind us why we love being part of this team.
Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs) are in high demand and we know they can be tough to secure.
That’s why we’re pretty excited to have this mine spec EWP head out to a client last week with another one on the way.
At Kuuwa, we specialise in long-term, site-ready fleet hire, from EWPs and plant equipment through to mine spec light vehicles, trucks and buses.
👉 If you need EWP hire for your next project, reach out to Darren Hulme and the Fleet team.
