Our short film Devilled Egg screened today at the Sydney Underground Film Festival as part of Take 48!

To celebrate, we’ve rolled out a temporary new logo for Full Heart Films — replacing our usual graphic heart with the real, blood-soaked heart used as a prop during filming.

It’s a bit gruesome, a bit cheeky, and perfectly fitting for this project.

Keep an eye on our socials to follow Devilled Egg’s festival journey — and to see when it will finally be released online.

Our 2025 Take 48 film Devilled Egg has officially been selected to screen at the Sydney Underground Film Festival. We’re incredibly proud of this year’s entry and can’t wait to see it on the big screen.

While we wait for the event and to find out if we take home any awards, we thought it was the perfect time to release our 2024 Take 48 film — the one that started it all.

Out of Place was our first-ever attempt at a 48-hour film challenge. It tells the story of a young woman mourning someone lost on the day of her birthday, only to have her night interrupted by a most unlikely, bizarre stranger. The secret item in 2024? Watermelon.

CASTING CALL – Male Actor

We’re looking for an attractive male actor who can pass as a final-year high school student for a short scene in our upcoming 48-hour film challenge project.

Details:

Date: Saturday 16th August

Location: Likely in Leederville (exact address confirmed soon)

Time: Only required for 1–2 hours (exact time TBC)

Pay: $50

Role: No dialogue. Will be featured in 3–5 shots, including a key scene where your character has their heart ripped out of their chest (special effects – all safe). Expect a little fake blood.

We’re currently looking to cast The Tyrant, a lead role in our upcoming short film The Dancer and the Tyrant, filming on Saturday 16 August.

The role is non-verbal and relies entirely on physical performance and presence. Think Khal Drogo — powerful, dominant, in complete control — until he begins to fall under the spell of a dancer. The story is about control, and how it slowly slips away without a single word being spoken.

This is a one-day shoot. We’re looking for someone physically imposing with strong screen presence. Facial hair is a bonus.
