So proud of this team as Australian Junior Athletics Championships and Australian Little Athletics Championships has come to a close π€
Weβve had some incredible results on the national stage.
At Juniors
π₯ Kyla taking gold in the U16 Heptathlon
π₯ Hunter winning gold in the U15 200mH, showing real resilience to come back after a fall in the 100mH (which would have likely been a podium finish)
π₯ Harmony with bronze in the U15 Heptathlon
Molly placing 8th in a stacked U17 100mH
Brea finishing 16th with a near PB in a big U14 age group 80mh
Mark showed why he deserves to mix with the nations best in the U20 menβs 200m with a near PB
At ALAC
π₯ Henko bringing home silver in the relay, along with 6th in javelin and 8th in 80mH
Brea stepping up to the 200mH for the first time and placing 12th, plus 11th in the 80mH
Nova finishing 10th in the 800m, 13th in the 80mH, and an incredible 4th in the 400m
For many of these athletes this was their first time on the national stage and that alone is something to be proud of. It comes with pressure, nerves and a lot of learning, and every single athlete showed growth.
A few ups and downs along the way, but that is all part of the journey. We take it, learn from it and get better.
Excited to reset and get back to work soon, off season starts in a few weeks

UPDATE: From the 20th of April, we will be introducing training for athletes aged 12 and under.
Isabel Daines, former heptathlete now hurdler, will be joining us to coach these athletes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This also provides an opportunity for athletes aged 12+ who are unable to attend Monday and Wednesday sessions to train with Isabel on these days.
Isabel will also be available for private coaching on Fridays, as well as before or after group sessions, and occasionally on weekends. She specialises in hurdles, high jump, long jump, and javelin.
If you would like to join, please send us a DM.
All sessions are held NOR (Joondalup / Currambine / Iluka) or at WA Athletics Stadium. Alternatively, you can contact Julie directly on 0403 473 639 and Isabel at 0452 239 984.

On International Womenβs Day, made her debut as an umpire for the WAFL futures. Sheβs been training with me for over ten months, focusing on strength, fitness, speed and agility. Her tenacity and commitment to her goals are truly inspiring. Congratulations Lilly, keep up the good work!

Super proud of these two boys for their efforts this weekend at Senior States.
Mark was 4th in the U20 menβs 400m, with a 2.5 second PB, and 2nd in the U20 menβs 200m with a 1 second PB. After an on and off season of training, Iβm excited to see what Mark can do with a full pre season. He came into the weekend just hoping to make finals, and he has demonstrated what a fierce competitor his is - gaining qualification to nationals.
400m: 50.45
200m: 22.21w π₯π₯π₯
John ran on the track for the first time in his life, and held his own in the U20 menβs 400m, 100m and 200m, with massive PBs in all three. John placed 4th in the 200m, narrowly missing out on a bronze. Similarly, it is exciting to think what John could do with a full pre season, and regular competitions on the track.
400m: 52.18
100m: 11:22
200m: 22.61w

Big shoutout to the entire group for their efforts at Junior States. I am so proud of everyone for all of the time and energy put into training and competing. For those whose season finished last weekend, enjoy some time off and get ready to rebuild in the off season. For those headed to nationals - letβs get after it.
