.ecu - Amazing ECU City Campus opening performance for the WAAPA Symphony Orchestra under Jessica Gethin, featuring Elgar’s Cello Concerto with Finlay Labuschagne and Mozart by Emma Matthews AM. The opening number was the premiere of ‘Perth City Skylines’ by WAAPA student composer Domenic Lamattina followed by Debussy. Second concert tomorrow.

- ‘Masters of the Baroque’ - Thursday 23/Friday 24 April, 7.30pm, His Majesty’s Theatre. “Step into the splendour of the Baroque as internationally acclaimed conductor and keyboardist, Chad Kelly, directs WASO in a program of brilliance and beauty. We open with a selection of timeless works by Handel, with soprano Prudence Sanders bringing her exquisite voice to the His Majesty’s Theatre stage. Be dazzled by Bach’s Concerto for Harpsichord, Pergolesi’s vibrant Sinfonia from L’Adriano in Siria, and Telemann’s firecracker finish to his La Bizarre Overture-Suite.
