✨ Welcome home, Leeuwin! ⚓

On Friday, EHQ joined the celebrations at Victoria Quay to welcome WA’s beloved tall ship, Leeuwin II, back to Fremantle, more than 14 months after she was catastrophically damaged by a container ship. Seeing her standing tall again after everything she’s been through was truly something special. 💙

A big thank you to Gauge Roads and Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation for hosting such a fantastic community event. The free ice cream, face painting, and mermaid meet-and-greets were a huge hit with the kids (and, let’s be honest, plenty of adults too!).

In September, we were honoured to attend a special reception at Government House hosted by His Excellency the Honourable Chris Dawson, Governor of Western Australia, and Mrs Darrilyn Dawson, celebrating Leeuwin’s progress and the unveiling of the Foundation’s refreshed corporate identity. Guests received a meaningful keepsake, a framed remnant of the ship’s upper topsail, a beautiful symbol of perseverance and new beginnings.

Leeuwin’s renewal has been powered by the unwavering dedication of its volunteers, crew, and supporters, and bolstered by a generous $3.5 million grant from the Minderoo Foundation in 2024 to ensure its long-term sustainability.

The Leeuwin isn’t just a ship; she’s a symbol of resilience, teamwork, and community spirit.

Over the past 10 months, EHQ has had the privilege of partnering with the incredible team at Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation, working with their CEO, leadership team, and board to bring structure, clarity, and a human-centred strategy to their transformation journey.

We’re proud to have played a small part in helping this iconic WA organisation navigate change and prepare for its next chapter of impact. Congratulations to the Leeuwin crew, volunteers, and community of supporters who’ve poured their hearts into bringing her back to life.

This ship truly changes lives, and soon she’ll be doing just that again when she returns to WA waters in early 2026.

Almost one year into launching EHQ Coaching & Consulting, and what a rollercoaster ride it’s been-challenging, rewarding, and full of growth and steep learning curves! Starting a business is hard (no sugar-coating it), but it’s also one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever done.

This shoot is part of my website rebrand, but more than that, it’s about showing the person behind the business.

My brief was to keep it professional, yes, but more importantly, to be real and reflect my personality.

I’m on a mission to rebrand HR -to show it doesn’t have to be corporate or cold. I blend personality with credibility, strategy with empathy, and the ability to get sh*t done with a genuine human touch.

I’m committed to being fully transparent: I do want to grow my business and connect with more clients. That said, I won’t pretend to be busier or more established than I am, nor will I compromise on what matters most to me. I’m here to work with the right clients-those who are genuinely invested in building exceptional workplaces and bold enough to make commercially sound decisions. Because when businesses are financially sustainable, they create stable, meaningful careers and livelihoods for their people.

Gen Z & Millennials: Shaping the Future of Work

Before we dive in, I want to avoid painting everyone with the same brush. While Deloitte’s 2025 Gen Z & Millennial Survey offers important insights, people are wonderfully unique, and no survey can define them all. A personalised, holistic approach to talent management whenever possible is key to any effective people & culture strategy.

And let’s not forget, many of these practices and strategies can benefit everyone, no matter their generation.

But… these trends matter. Why? Because by 2030 Gen Z and Millennials will make up a whopping 74% of the global workforce. Their wants, needs, and motivations are already reshaping how we work, lead, and connect and we need to be ready.
