As geologists plate tectonics have always fascinated us! We have wondered about countless mysteries it nurtures.

This year SEG-SGA WA student chapter is going to an exciting field expedition to one of the world's most complex plate tectonic region, Eastern Indonesia.

Participants will explore active volcanic terrains, examine world class porphyry and epithermal mineral systems, and experience remarkable natural landscapes and national parks that make the region truly unique.

A big shout-out to our major club sponsors AngloAmerican, BHP, Hot Chili Limited, Pilbara Minerals (PLS) and Rox Resources for supporting us. Their representatives will be joining us in the trip, making it a perfect opportunity for students looking to network with industry professionals and an ideal industry-academia collaboration.

Are you a student at UWA or Curtin University?
We invite you to fill up the form (link in bio) to join us in the adventure. Applications close 14th August.
