Drawing and fabric realisation.
When I'm making my appliqued designs I generally draw on paper first, then I make a plastic template for the elements. With this one I simplified the seagull beak because it was too small and fiddly. I added a touch of embroidery stitching for the eye and legs to keep them fine and not too bulky.

I managed to steal a few hours to put together the centre blocks on this baby boy boat quilt.

This one is for Isobel's best friend who is having a boy soon 💕

Up bright and early getting this quilt on the machine ready for long arm quilting.
I've been looking forward to quilting this one.
