Family and domestic violence remains a national crisis. With rising living costs and housing pressures, Starick Services’ resources can only stretch so far.
At Starick, we are proud to support women and children in the south-east metropolitan corridor as they rebuild their lives, open their first bank accounts, secure employment, and find hope again after leaving unsafe environments.
Our team works tirelessly to support those currently in our care, but the demand for Starick’s services continues to grow.
Starick cannot do this alone. Be part of the change. If you are able, please donate today - every dollar makes a difference. Because together, we are stronger.

Today marks the final day of Reconciliation Week 2026. Starick staff attended in-person and online events throughout the week, including:
❤️The City of Armadale National Reconciliation Week 2026 Reconciliation Breakfast to engage in local conversations about truth-telling, respect, partnership, and Aboriginal leadership.
❤️A live stream of Reconciliation Memoirs with June Oscar AO
As we continue our RAP journey, we contribute to a broader movement where Starick employees join '1 in 5 Australians who now work or study in an organisation with a RAP (5,923,174 people)' 2025 RAP Report

Last year Starick joined a network of more than 2,500 corporate, government, and not-for-profit organisations that have made a formal commitment to reconciliation through the RAP program.
Our Reflect RAP strengthens our commitment to culturally safe, responsive services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, children and young people.
This National Reconciliation Week, we recognise the ongoing impacts of colonisation, intergenerational trauma and systemic racism, and the disproportionate levels of family violence experienced by First Nations women.

Today is National Sorry Day. Every year on the 26 May, we remember and acknowledge the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who were forcibly removed as children from their families and communities.
The native purple hibiscus flower represents resilience and strength and is used to honor the experiences of the Stolen Generation.
Starick stands in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People today and always.

We’re proud to share a special milestone at Starick — the presentation of our inaugural Starick Star Award, recognising team members who bring our values to life.
Our first recipient is FDSV GP Pilot Local Link Worker, Sue Wekare, recognised for demonstrating the value of Commitment.
Through her strong relationships and dedication within her co-located GP clinic, Sue is helping build trust and strengthen access to safe, trauma-informed care. Recently, this resulted in a woman feeling safe enough to disclose her experience of family and domestic violence for the first time.
Congratulations Sue, your work is making a real and lasting impact in the community.
