🔥 COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT 🔥
Today we’re celebrating Jayde Proctor — a proud player for WATRL and a dedicated referee in both rugby league, rugby union and touch rugby👏🏽🏉
Jayde continues to lead by example both on and off the field, showing commitment, confidence and passion for the game at every level. From competing as a player to stepping up with the whistle, she is making a real impact within our sporting community 🙌🏽
Most importantly, Jayde is a positive influence for our youth — showing our young players that leadership, respect, discipline and giving back to the game matters ❤️
Thank you for all that you do for the game, for our community, and for inspiring the next generation.

🏉🔥 BIG CONGRATULATIONS! 🔥🏉
A huge shoutout to Alex & Jaxon Tiseli and Caelan Lasike on being selected in the WA Māori teams travelling to New Zealand to represent! 🇦🇺✈️🇳🇿
Even though it’s not in our colours, WATRL is proud to see our young players continuing to grow, compete and create opportunities through rugby league.
A special congratulations also to your fellow team mates selected alongside you.
Go over there, play with pride, back yourselves and enjoy every moment of the experience 💪🏽🏉
Good luck! From your WATRL kainga 🤍❤️

Thank you for everything you do and for being the definition of an ultimate volunteer ❤️

Happy National Volunteer Week to our incredible husband and wife duo, Atu & Charntel Vaka ❤️🏉
From coaching, managing, mentoring and always showing up for our young athletes, on top of your own family commitments, your dedication to our WATRL U17s does not go unnoticed. The time, energy and heart you both pour into these kids helps build more than just rugby league (or union) — you help build confidence, culture and family 🤝🔥
Thank you for leading with passion and representing our community with pride. We appreciate everything you do for our players on and off the field 🙌
Mālō ‘aupito Atu & Charntel! 🇹🇴❤️

National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering.
It recognises the contribution of millions of volunteers across the country and invites everyone to discover how giving their time and talents can create connection, purpose, and stronger communities.
Meet Soane Tiseli - WATRL Operations & Compliance. He’s also the lead for the Parabellum International Development Program for our youth and here you see him running water as League Safe for Alkimos U15s.
Thank you Soane, for your continued commitment to our club’s future 🙌🏾

We know it’s not rugby league, but plenty of our youth play both codes 🏉
Reach out to FRESH Coast Sports Club Inc. if you’re interested in this opportunity
FRESH is heading back to the Global Youth 7s in Auckland, New Zealand December 18–20.
This year’s campaign theme is PURPOSE inspired by Proverbs 19:21:
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
We’re now recruiting Perth U18 rugby talent ready to test themselves against some of the best young athletes in the world.
Every year, the Global Youth 7s attracts elite New Zealand based talent from strong rugby pathways and high-performance environments. The level of skill, speed, physicality and rugby IQ is unreal and the interest this year has already been massive.
This is more than just a tournament.
It’s an opportunity to:
• Compete against top talent from around the World
• Train and build connections with elite athletes
• Raise your own personal standards
• Experience one of the toughest youth 7s environments in the world
"Iron sharpens iron."
If you want to grow as a player, surround yourself with quality people, and challenge yourself at a higher level, this is your opportunity. As we have now opened up the option for NZ based talent to participate under FRESH.
Don’t just watch them.
Play with them.
Compete against them.
Become better because of it.
🔥 We’re recruiting now.
