The AGM was where the decisions got made and the Gala was where we celebrated them.
We had awards handed out to the workshops and people pushing this industry forward, and then the moment everyone waited for. The 2027 AGM location dropped, and the room all celebrated very loudly in excitement!!
Dinner, drinks, and a live band that did not let anyone sit down for long. Every corner of the dance floor was full by the end of the night.
This is what a year of hard work in your workshop earns you. A room full of people who get it, celebrating with you.
Can't wait to see you all again in 2027.
You might think the AGM part of the AASDN weekend is the boring bit, however it's actually the essential bit. That's where the real decisions are made for the whole community for the year ahead.
And then there's the suppliers. Every one of them showed up with real stories and real information. Walk away from a conversation with one of them, and you've either learned something useful or grabbed a deal worth having.
Running an independent workshop is hard. Staff shortages. Rising tool costs. Customers who don't trust the industry enough. You don't have to solve that alone.

Over the weekend, AASDN East Coast had the AGM and Gala for 2026 and it started with a bang on Friday with the Regatta on Sydney Harbour. Big thanks to all the Sailing Boat Sponsors and all the skippers and crew who took us out for the afternoon fromSydney by Sail.

Automotive A/C Training Night
Join us for an informative and practical evening with Brett Meads, SuperCool Group Head of Product Integration & Training.
The session will cover refrigerant phase-down, multi-refrigerant fleets, the 2026 Code of Practice, diagnostic essentials, hose and fitting systems, lubricants, leak detection, thermal management and compressor technology.
There will also be practical product demonstrations and an open discussion where attendees can share questions and workshop challenges.
