It's been a while since we said hi. Hello! We are Pollyverse. A small, online digital collective for creatives and creators.

The Perth Vegan Expo team has spent the last few days crossing fingers that cyclone Narelle would calm down and forecasts would improve for the weekend. Unfortunately, we had to make a call this morning and according to current rain and wind forecasts for Friday (set up day) and Saturday, with these risks it would be unsafe to proceed with the event.

We have considered alternate options including only operating on Sunday and exploring alternative indoor venues, however none of these options were possible and/or viable.

We know the Perth Vegan Expo is an important event for community. Our participants; stallholders, presenters, performers and artists have invested time, energy and money into preparations for the event, and we are devastated that we’ve had to cancel.

Some of our speakers will still deliver their presentations online via our YouTube - something to keep us entertained if we’re all stuck home thanks to Narelle!
We will post more about this once details are clarified. 
Other presentations will be postponed until PVE 2027.

Many of our stallholders, artists and non-profit organisations will have invested in stock, ingredients etc, and counted on income from the event. Please check their socials to see how you can support them. 
We are currently looking into the possibility of expanding our Planted event – scheduled for 18th July in Victoria Park - to be a larger event for the vegan community and our stallholders. Would you like to see it?

This has been a very difficult, but necessary decision for our team and we are grateful for the support of all our sponsors, The City of Vincent, Vegan Australia, Tytec, Veg Kit, Loving Hut Perth and La Vida Vegan; and all the volunteers who have helped us in the lead up to the event and all those who committed to help across the weekend.

Communications were sent to all stakeholders, we requested they give us the grace to complete comms and announce publicly across our socials prior to posting on their own, this request has been ignored by some, apologies for any confusion this has caused.
