For the first time, The Cariad Project is bringing kindness to Currambine.

Join us for our Kindness in Community: Bake, Pack & Give Back session on 30th May.
A hands-on workshop where kids will bake with purpose, pack care items, and learn how small acts of kindness can create real impact.

This session will support young people accessing Passages Youth Engagement Hub and Street Connect, with all donations going directly toward supporting young people experiencing hardship.

💪Small voices. Big change. 💪

We’re so excited to have partnered with the No Place for Poverty movement for a workshop grounded in a shared belief: children’s voices matter.

Together, we created an experience that explored both immediate acts of kindness and the power of advocacy for long-term change.

Through Baking A Difference & Packing for a Purpose, children baked, packed and created messages of kindness for young people experiencing disadvantage.

Through The Power of a Postcard, families learned about poverty in WA and took simple advocacy action by calling for positive change.

From grassroots acts of care to influencing bigger systems, this partnership reflects what we care deeply about; raising little humans who know they can make a difference.

We’re excited to see what the future holds.

🌸🌼The Cariad Project is growing, and we’re looking for two passionate people to join our volunteer Board.🌼🌸

We are currently recruiting for:

🩷Board Secretary
🩷Board Treasurer

These roles are a chance to use your skills to support a grassroots Perth not-for-profit teaching children kindness, compassion and the power of giving back.

We’re particularly seeking people with experience in:
• Governance / board administration (Secretary)
• Finance / accounting / bookkeeping (Treasurer)

As we grow, we’re looking for people who believe in creating a kinder future and can help strengthen the foundations that allow our impact to grow.

Over two days at the Buddha’s Birthday celebrations, these thoughtful young people rolled up their sleeves for our Packing for a Purpose workshops.

Surrounded by a space centred on compassion, they carefully packed care packs for people in our community experiencing homelessness and hardship.

A powerful reminder that kindness can be taught, practised, and passed on.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to the temple community for creating space for children to learn that even small acts of care can make a meaningful difference. 💛

Looking for a meaningful, memorable activity for your child this April? Packing for a Purpose is a free, hands-on kindness workshop for children as part of the 2026 Buddha’s Birthday Multicultural Festival in Perth.
* WHAT IS PACKING FOR A PURPOSE?
Children come together to pack care parcels — filled with food and hygiene items — for people experiencing homelessness in Perth. It’s simple. It’s real. And it matters.
In just 60 minutes, your child will:
→ Listen to age-appropriate storytelling about kindness & giving
→ Pack a real care parcels that will be donated to someone in need
