Emotions are like water 💦🌊🌊

Emotions = Energy in motion 🌊🧘‍♀️🌊🧘‍♂️🌊

As I sit on the beach in Margaret River Iam reflecting on what I actually do with clients everyday. I find it a challenge to explain exactly what the formula is... what I realise is that there doesn't need to be a formula, I just do what I do 🙏

I help people to sit with their emotions, to guide them to realise that emotions are like water, they move, they become intense (like the ocean) then they calm down again. The key is to be able to ride the waves of emotions as they are our barometer for what is going on internally and externally for us.

Emotions are so important, more than what we are taught as children.

We can either avoid, deny or become so affected by our emotions. These are all valid coping strategies. But what works even better is to visit those deep places inside of ourselves, feel the emotions (there are often more than one) and allow your body to ride through the waves and come out the otherside. This is such a powerful experience and one which I allow myself to enter and emerge out of often.

My hopes for 2022, that I can ride the waves everyday without having to stop completely which is what I'm doing here. To be able to ride the waves everyday so that place of integration is present and alive always.

Iam on a journey and so are you, can't wait to reconnect with you all soon.

As I've had some time off to reflect I have been feeling into what 2022 could look like. It's important to imagine what things could look like in the future and meditate on it until it actually comes into fruition.

Some things Iam imagining for 2022, 1 day a week dedicated to my own self-care and growth. An integrated booking system which will help with the running of Integravida. More amazing people merging with my way of working to gain clarity and healing. I do believe Iam not meant to work with everybody, but those that resonate with my way of working will find me 🙏

What are your visions for 2022? They need not be resolutions as these often fade away and we lose sight of them quickly. Visions are more subtle but can grow over time with intention and reflection. 🌻🌻

So much gratitude for the last 9 years of business, growth and working with everyone one of you past and present clients. 🙏💛

Gorgeous client brought me flowers from their garden today 🌸🌻🌺

One of my personal and business values is Authenticity. 🤍🤍

What does this mean? Simply put, for me Authenticity means being yourself no matter what you're feeling or thinking. Being able to share all aspects of yourself, even the vulnerable parts, your inner child who may feel abandoned, angry, scared or sad. 😔😑☹

Way back when I started as a Psychologist 14 years ago, I remember the whole idea of being positive and changing your thinking patterns from negative to positive. I thought to myself, there had to be more than just changing your thoughts and with the work Iam doing now with clients, I was totally right. 👌

Below are some classic examples of how Genuine Optimism is far more effective than Toxic Positivity. Sometimes we don't even know that our positivity isn't the most helpful, after all, we don't know what we don't know. Perhaps you could use some of the examples below to change the way you portray positivity.

I work with clients to get down to the core issues of why they in the shape they are in. How their body actually speaks to them through illness, disease and injury and to release underlying experiences that have contributed to their current problems. Genuine Positivity is all part of the process that helps someone get through the messy parts of healing and Integration.
