What an incredible week celebrating fresh vegetables, connecting with the Perth community and encouraging everyone to take the Plus One Serve challenge and add just one more serve of veg to their day.

Perth, you’ve taken the pledge!

As we head into the final days of the Perth Royal Show, we’ve been blown away by the response from the Perth community to the Plus One Serve pledge to eat more veg!

We’ve had some familiar faces stop by and take the pledge, including Tony Galati from Spudshed, Lachlan Hunter MLA, WA Shadow Minister for Agriculture and Food, the Hon Darren Chester MP the Shadow Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, and Kirrilee Warr MLA, Member for Geraldton.

We’ve also welcomed our ABC Radio Hosts, the West Coast Eagles and Perth Scorchers, while Rick & Sue from Channel 7 were challenged by Justine from Plus One Serve to find their own way to add a little more veg to their day.

But the best part has been chatting with the hundreds of people who have stopped by, mums and dads, grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles, and big kids and little kids all sharing their favourite vegetables and thinking about one simple question:

How can you add just one more serve of veg to your day?

It’s been an amazing week, and the good news is we’re not finished yet! We’ve still got a few more days to chat, pledge and celebrate veggies with the Perth community.

Three days into the Perth Royal Show and it’s been busy, colourful and so much fun!

We’ve loved seeing so many people stop by and make their pledge to eat more veg. 🥦🥬🌽

The Hon Jackie Jarvis MLC, Minister for Agriculture and Food, also stopped by to become the first WA Minister to sign the +One Serve pledge to eat more veg!

What a week it was in Western Australia, as Croplands demo'd the Kilter AX-1 for the very first time in the state.

Our two demos were in Gingin and Wattleup where we showcased the very best in autonomous vegetable cropping technology.

The Perth Royal Show kicks off today and vegetablesWA is proud to be collaborating on Plus One Serve, helping put Australian vegetables, and the growers behind them, front and centre.

The goal is simple: one extra serve of vegetables per person, per day, by 2030.

For vegetablesWA, it’s about more than healthy eating. More veg on Aussie plates means greater demand for our growers and a stronger, more sustainable vegetable industry.

A huge thank you to the Croplands Equipment team for making the trip west and giving WA growers the opportunity to see the Kilter AX1 in action.
