Skateboarding old concrete pools in the most isolated city in the world, operating the most isolated core skate shop in the world, supporting an insane skate team born and bred here and we are god damn happy about it.

Scroll for photos of the crew ripping! We loaded up the van, fishing rods and boards and tripped up to the Barri to put on a fun demo for the locals. What a time. Cheers to and all of the sponsors.

Big love to the locals for welcoming us into their beautiful town.

Thursday 24th of October 2024 is a special day that will go down in W.A skateboarding history 🍻
_
Why? Because today is the day we OFFICIALLY SAVED VIC PARK BOWL!

Thank you Mayor Karen Vernon for your decision and correspondence:

“Dear Luke, I am writing to you as the creator of the online petition through change.org to Save Vic Parks Original skate bowl at McCallum Park.

Our council met on Tuesday 22nd of October to decide the award of a tender construction of our new skatepark. Although we did not receive your petition prior to that meeting, The Town Of Vic Park staff advised our council that an online petition was underway.

After debate, our council RESOLVED TO RETAIN the existing skate bowl as part of the redevelopment project including of a bigger skate park and facilities.

Thankyou for bringing the importance of the original skate bowl to our attention.
_
To everyone who dedicated to sign, share or get behind this THANKYOU. It shows that we do have a voice, and grass roots skateboarding is as important as ever. We saved this as a community, as a collective and as skateboarders.

To SKATEBOARDING, we did this for you. RIP DORFUS, this one is especially for you 🫶🛹

Share this post to show your love for this BOWL, and share the word that we have saved one of W.A’s most iconic transition skate spots!
