We’re proud to share some highlights from the WA Police Force CALD Youth Forum, hosted by Commissioner of Police Col Blanch APM at The University Club of Western Australia.
Our Youth Assistants, Abdi and Agau, represented ERCWA at this important event, themed Empowering Youth Voices.
The forum brought together young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds with WA Police Officers and staff for a morning of collaboration and open conversation, providing a valuable platform for young people to share their lived experiences, discuss the challenges they face and contribute ideas for positive change.
Thank you to the WA Police Force for creating an inclusive and supportive space where young people’s voices could be heard and community relationships strengthened. - Shristi, Senior Youth Program Coordinator

🚀 Our first Empower Me Leadership Program session for 2026 was a fantastic success!
Participants took part in a range of leadership activities designed to build confidence, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. One of the highlights of the session was the opportunity for young people to design and build their own “dream world”, encouraging creativity while exploring the values, rules, and qualities they believe create strong communities.
To top it all off, everyone enjoyed sharing pizza together and connecting with fellow participants in a fun and supportive environment.
We are excited to see this group continue to grow their leadership skills throughout the year. 🌟
📅 Next Session: 28 July 2026
🕓 Time: 4:00pm – 6:00pm

Our inaugural Empower Me vs SETS Soccer Tournament was a roaring success! There was plenty of fierce competition on the field, but the real highlight was seeing the teamwork, new friendships and fantastic sportsmanship on display both on and off the pitch.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, cheered from the sidelines and helped make the event so memorable.
