SnakeTails Reptile Rescue

So after a pretty average week filled with drama and some violence.
I got the pleasure of rescuing this little Dugite (Pseudonaja affinis) from a garage in Balga. Great call out,the callers did all the hard work moving things and isolated the snake to under a book. They stayed in the area till I got there and it was as simple as lifting the book and gently grabbing the snake. Perfect call out. If you need a snake relocated please call me.

The Balibo 5 were not killed by cross fire as reported on the news.
They were shot by mercenaries employed by the Indonesian military.
We were there and escaped Timor just before it happened.

This morning I got a call out for a Dugite trapped in netting. Unfortunately it was not netting it was narrow wire caging for a small cockatiels enclosure.
Sadly the snake had degloved its neck and upper body struggling in the wire. Cut it out with wire cutters but was too seriously injured to be saved. So I had to dispatch it. Not a good experience.
