We installed 1 fixed panel and 3 manual Ziptrak blinds along the south and west sides of this patio in Secret Harbour — right where the wind and afternoon sun hit the hardest.

Now the space is protected from the strong coastal breeze, while also cutting down the glare and heat from the sun.

A much more comfortable spot to sit back and enjoy the afternoons, without battling the elements.

The main issue here was the harsh afternoon sun hitting the patio and back of the house. The heat and glare made it uncomfortable to sit out there and enjoy the space.

Now, with the blinds installed, they can drop them down in the afternoon, stay cool and comfortable, and still look out over the pool area.

We installed 3 large manual Ziptrak blinds to fully enclose the area. The main goal was to block the harsh afternoon sun, while also sealing the space off from the weather and insects.

Now they can leave the big sliding doors open and use the indoor and outdoor areas as one continuous space, without the drawbacks.

This porch in Halls Head used to cop the full force of the afternoon sun and strong westerly winds, making it a space that was rarely used.

We fitted 8 manual Ziptrak blinds — two on the patio and six across the house.

The patio blinds were 5.5m and 4m wide, both finished with fully enclosed Streamline Pelmets for a tidy, protected look.

For the six blinds on the house, the owner chose a manual setup without pelmets. These are perfect for controlling the light while keeping that beautiful view from inside.

This home gets strong morning sun on one side and afternoon sun on the other, so the blinds now stop the heat from beaming in while still letting in the outlook — the best of both worlds.
