Rome. If you reach to port buy cruise you can catch a shuttle bus to the Train station which costs 7 Euro pp. A taxi is about 20 Euro. You then catch a train to Roma Termini . It''s the last station. Outside the station there are taxis and buses. It is a beautiful city and you need at least 2 days. We stayed 5 minutes walk from the colleseum.Everything is walkable but there are hop on hop off buses and other modes of transport around.
To get from the hotel to the airport there are a few options to get you to the airport shuttle. Shuttle costs 9 euro pp. It's a comfortable ride with luggage underneath and free wifi.

FLORENCE & PISA — A PERFECT DAY ASHORE
Florence and Pisa are two of the most iconic destinations in Italy — rich in art, history, architecture, and unforgettable beauty. This port is truly one of the highlights of any Mediterranean cruise.
Because the ship’s time in port is short, we’ve decided to join the organised shore excursion to make the most of the day without stress. The tour ensures smooth transport, guaranteed return to the ship, and enough time to enjoy both cities comfortably.
There is a shuttle bus from the port to the city,
👉 Yes, it’s possible to take the train independently — trains run roughly every 15 minutes to both Florence and Pisa.
But you must manage your time extremely wisely, navigate stations, and allow a large buffer to avoid missing the ship.
With our AEW Tours shore excursion, everything is taken care of for you — transport, timing, and a curated experience that lets you relax and enjoy Italy at its best.

Portofino is a magnficent port. When your cruise reaches Portofino the tender will take you to the shore. There you will be amazed with the beauty and charm of this small harbour town. The highlights of the town are the Brown castle and the The light house, as well as the vreathrakung views. You have to be prepared to climb but don't worry you will be rewarded with great views. Our advice is to not follow the sign to Saint Sabastian lol, however you will get great views, but not sant sabastian because it is a very long and narrow acending road that never seems to end. You can take a tour to visit saint Maregrita and other small beautiful towns or take a train to saint Maregrita. We dwcided to enjoy all Portofino had to offer.

Taormina, Sicily (Port Messina)
After a 45 minute trip 9n the train and a hair raising 10 munute bus drive up the hill, cliffs on one side and mountain wall on the other, we made it to the old city. First stop was the must see Greek Theatre. not only was the theatre itawlf an impressive relic from the early 200s, thw views left us speechless. Mount Etna makes an imposing sight at every angle and the picturesque coastline made an impressive sight. After an hour at the theatre we explored the streets within the old walled city, looked inside cathedrals and then made our way back down the hill to get our yrain.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting the historic Prediama castle and Postojna cave in Slovenia. With a history spanning over 800 years, the castle is uniquely integrated into the cave, rendering it virtually impenetrable and thus providing a secure refuge, albeit with extremely challenging living conditions. The views from every level were nothing short of breathtaking, and the castle has been meticulously restored to its original state, allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of life during medieval times. The cave, a 24 km long system, features a 2 km train ride, followed by a guided hour-long walk, enabling visitors to marvel at the awe-inspiring chambers and the immense time required to create such a magnificent natural wonder, the largest cave in Europe. If you are planning a trip to this region, we highly recommend visiting both of these incredible attractions. For further details, please do not hesitate to contact us, as we have established a partnership with a reputable Slovenian-based company, enabling us to offer even more competitive packages for your tour.
