Hello, fine people! 👋
These metal pieces recently appeared on a couple of utility poles around our neighborhood, and I genuinely have no idea what they're for.
They're made from fairly thick sheet metal and look intentionally installed—not like leftover hardware or random debris.

My neighbor invited everyone over for what he called a cheap little BBQ night, and somehow the evening turned into a full-blown propane conservation seminar. 😂

Before he even fired up the grill, he had everyone gathered around the propane tank giving a serious speech about how to make every drop last.

Homeowner complained their old driveway was cracked, uneven, and impossible to keep clean… so we completed a $23,000 concrete driveway upgrade
Looks like even the neighborhood pets had to stop by and approve the fresh finish before it cured

I know Walmart is casual, and nobody expects people to dress up just to buy groceries.
But seeing pajamas, slippers, messy hair, and full-on “just rolled out of bed” outfits in the self-checkout line still makes me wonder when this became completely normal.
Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but putting on real clothes before heading out in public doesn't seem like too much to ask.
Is this just normal now, or does anyone else feel the same way? 🤔

Another satisfied client.

At least that's what I'm choosing to call it. 🤣

Every contractor has that one job they'll never forget, and every homeowner has that one repair they'll never stop talking about.

I came home expecting to see a finished tile job. Instead, I walked into what looked like a snowstorm.

The installer had been cutting tile inside the house without putting up plastic barriers or containing the dust, and now a fine layer of silica dust seems to be covering just about everything.

When I asked what happened, the explanation was, "My vacuum broke."

I'm sorry, but if the equipment needed to do the job safely isn't working, the job should stop until it can be done properly.

Now the big question is: who should be responsible for the cleanup? 😷🏠

The restaurant owner decided to save money on a grease trap.

Unfortunately, the "solution" turned out to be a bucket with holes drilled into it.

As you can probably imagine, grease and wastewater ended up everywhere, and the health inspector wasn't exactly impressed.

Sometimes the cheapest fix ends up being the most expensive mistake.

Restaurant owners and plumbers, what's the wildest repair you've ever seen? 🍔🪣🤢

Pulled everything apart and found PVC shoved directly into a cast-iron pipe with nothing but sealant holding it together.

I'll give them points for creativity, but I'm not exactly convinced this is a long-term solution.

Maybe it'll hold for a while, or maybe it's just a leak waiting to happen.

Plumbers, what's your verdict—clever shortcut or guaranteed callback? 🚰🤔

We invested in a structural glass-bottom shower to bring more light into the space, and everything looked great—until the hot water was turned on for the first time.
That's when the trouble started.
The drain assembly had been installed without allowing enough room for expansion, and the glass floor ended up cracking.
Now what should have been a beautiful design feature has become an expensive repair and a major safety concern.
It's a frustrating reminder that even small installation details can have very costly consequences.
Contractors and homeowners, have you ever seen a tiny oversight turn into a huge problem? 🚿🏠
