Ashbrook Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
“A powerful nose, and more in the dark fruit spectrum. Some tomato leaf, graphite, cocoa and one taster noted dark plum skins. The palate is full and surprisingly soft, with black, blue and red berries, mocha, tomato leaf. Fine but grippy tannins, balanced by moderating acid, and the wine is medium to full bodied…”

Allan Wilkerson has followed Ashbrook’s journey for over 30 years now, generously sharing his impressive private collection with other wine lovers. This latest Cabernet vertical tasting, featuring vintages 2011 to 2022 follows on from his previous one showcasing the 2004-2018 vintages (Ashbrook Estate Cabernet Merlot vertical tasting 2018 - 2004 - The Auswine Forum).
