🏆 CSPD Footy Tipping: 2026 Champions! 🏆

Our inaugural CSPD Footy Tipping Competition was a huge hit, bringing out plenty of friendly office rivalry (and questionable AFL knowledge).

Open to all staff and their families, the overall winner took home a $50 gift card, while the winning CSPD team member earned the honour of displaying the CSPD Footy Tipping trophy on their desk for the next 12 months.

Pictured is our Marketing Manager Tahlia, collecting the $50 prize on behalf of her husband, who took out 1st place. We hear the voucher mysteriously got 'lost' somewhere between the office and home… 🤔

A big congrats to our Warehouse Coordinator Rick, who apparently is the only person in the office who actually knows anything about AFL. Although, if we’re being honest… we were all pretty terrible. 😅

🌿 Creating habitat for wildlife in Tasmania.

Our brand ambassador Shaun Green recently joined the team at Flora Park, working alongside Southern Beaches Landcare Coastcare to re-orient nest boxes and create natural hollows in standing dead trees.

These carefully carved hollows will provide valuable habitat for local species, including owls, rosellas and pardalotes. A great example of how arboriculture can directly support conservation. 🌱

This morning we hit pause on the busy schedule to enjoy a festive morning tea together and celebrate just how much has happened already this year. There have been plenty of milestones worth celebrating from Emily's first home, to Alex & Angela's new granddaughter, and Dylan welcoming his second son into the world. 🎉

It's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day, but taking the time to celebrate the wins both in and out of the workplace is something that's important to us.

The second half of 2026 is already underway, and if it's anything like the first, it's going to fly by. Before we know it, we'll be putting the real Christmas tree up! 🎅

Last week, the team at Vertech opened the doors to their Osborne Park Training Centre, giving guests the chance to tour the facility, meet the instructors, and get hands-on with their purpose-built training structures and rope systems.

The Vertech Open Night was a fantastic opportunity for anyone considering a career in rope access, looking to sharpen their skills, or simply wanting to connect with others in the industry.

We were there with our famous Karabiner Challenge (and, of course, couldn't say no to a sausage sizzle 🌭). With a stack of prizes up for grabs, the fastest competitor of the night took home a brand-new Petzl Rig!

🏆 Congratulations to Declan Harper from Arrow Safe Access, who flew through the challenge in an impressive 34 seconds - just 3 seconds behind the long-standing record held by Vertech's own Rob Lucking (31 seconds).

A huge thank you to the Vertech team for having us. It was an awesome evening, and it was great to see so many people getting involved. We can't wait for the next one!
