๐Ÿ“– Book Week 2026 - Symphony of Stories ๐ŸŽผ

This yearโ€™s Book Week theme is โ€œSymphony of Storiesโ€ and we couldnโ€™t think of a more fitting theme for this moment in the story of The Nature of Learning.

After many months of planning, hard work and the support of our families and community, weโ€™re excited to share that The Nature of Learning has officially become an incorporated not-for-profit association! ๐ŸŽ‰

Our journey has always been about bringing people together through creating a place where every child can learn, connect, grow and find their own voice. Just like a symphony, every person has a part to play.

Our children, families, educators, staff and wider community have all contributed to the story of The Nature of Learning, and we are incredibly grateful for every part you have played.

This new chapter opens the door to exciting opportunities for growth, partnerships and support as we continue building on the vision we share for our children and community.

Thank you for being part of our story. โฃ๏ธ

And this is only the beginning...

Watch this space โœจ๏ธ the next chapter is about to unfold. ๐Ÿ“–

๐ŸŒฟ Growing Confidence, Connection & Independence

At The Nature of Learning, our NDIS Capacity Building Program is designed to support children in developing the skills they need to participate confidently in everyday life, within a safe, nurturing and supportive small-group environment.

Our sessions focus on building:
๐ŸŒฑ Social interaction and communication
๐ŸŒฑ Confidence and independence
๐ŸŒฑ Emotional regulation and wellbeing
๐ŸŒฑ Collaboration and problem-solving
๐ŸŒฑ Self-management and participation

Every child follows an individualised pathway, with supports tailored to their goals, strengths and interests. Through shared experiences, children are encouraged to connect with peers, develop functional life skills and build confidence in a way that feels natural, engaging and enjoyable.

Meaningful activities may include nature-based exploration, creative projects, practical life skills, and literacy and numeracy experiences where they support each child's individual goals.

Our approach recognises that children learn best when they feel safe, connected and understood. By creating a welcoming community where every child feels valued and capable, we aim to foster not only skill development but also a genuine sense of belonging.

If you'd like to learn more about how our Capacity Building Program may support your child's NDIS goals, we'd love to hear from you.

๐ŸŒฟ As Term 2 has come to a close, we reflect...

Like the changing seasons, this term has been full of gentle transitions. We've welcomed new children, new staff, and watched everyone settle into place so naturally. It has been wonderful to see how effortlessly our community has grown, with each person finding where they belong.

The friendships that have formed continue to blossom, growing just as much as the learning taking place each week. Whether exploring outdoors, creating, questioning, reading, writing, cooking or discovering something new together, our learners have embraced every opportunity with curiosity and enthusiasm.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our families for trusting us to be part of your children's learning journey. Your support has helped create such a warm, connected community.

An extra special thank you goes to our incredible team, who work tirelessly behind the scenes and alongside our children to create an environment where every learner feels safe, seen and valued. We are deeply grateful for the passion you bring and for the culture of belonging we create together each week. โœจ

Here's to a few slower mornings, time to reconnect with nature and family, and all the adventures that await next term.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 3, beginning the week of 21st July.

One year of The Nature of Learning Program ๐ŸŒฟโœจ

What began with one family of four has grown into a beautiful community of over 20 families and over 30 children, supported by an amazing team.

In just one year, weโ€™ve created something truly special together. A place where hands-on learning meets explicit teaching, where children are supported to grow with confidence, curiosity, and joy.

Our creative, open-minded team and high ratios allow for meaningful one-to-one support, helping each child feel safe, connected, and ready to learn.

Through rich small-group experiences, purposeful play, and guided learning moments, weโ€™ve also seen friendships blossom and a strong sense of belonging take root.

Thank you to every family who has trusted us and been part of this journey. We canโ€™t wait to see what the next chapter brings ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿค—

Every Thursday in our 7-16 year old group, the kitchen becomes a classroom.
๐Ÿฅ„๐Ÿด Sweet & savoury!

Our cooking sessions build so much more than recipes of their choice. Students develop maths skills through measuring, reading and following instructions, recipe recall, sequencing, teamwork, communication and growing independence.

This video is a compilation of some of the delicious creations weโ€™ve made throughout last term, alongside the meaningful learning that happens in every session.

At The Nature of Learning, we believe the best learning is hands-on, purposeful and connected to real life. ๐ŸŒฑ
