Creery Wetlands is located in Mandurah and the trail is an easy 3km loop. There’s a little cafe on the water near the entrance, and bird huts for bird watching. Be sure to bring some mosquito repellant though - the mosquitoes there are something else!

Has anyone else seen some adorable Tawny Frogmouth’s and their babies in Wungong, Armadale πŸ¦‰? This little cutie had its mum & dad on either side to protect them πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ

Who else has lived in Perth their whole lives and never even heard of Heirisson Island? πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ™ˆ

Heirisson Island is under the Causeway Bridge connecting Vic Park and Perth City. It is so surreal to see Kangaroos and all the bird life with the city buildings in the background. Highly recommend a visit if you haven't been already 😌🦘

WUNGONG REGIONAL PARK 01/09/2020

There's so much to see in this park, but these images are from part of the Wungong Gorge trail. It's very easy to get distracted and spend too much time exploring and taking photos πŸ™ˆ You can find the entrance off South West Highway in Wungong, just after Rails Crescent - look for the large orange leaf art piece and gravel area to park your car 😊 There are no facilities on this trail, and the Gorge walk is around 16km, however there are so many things to see you can just do your own thing as well 😎

TOMATO LAKE 29/08/2020

Ashamed that I've lived in Belmont for over a year and hadn't been to this reserve until the other week! This reserve is located on Oats St in Kewdale, and it has quickly climbed to the top of my nature trail list for kids. There's 3 playgrounds, bbqs, a kiosk, picnic tables, toilets, water fountains, multiple benches overlooking the lakes (There's usually people sitting and drawing there ❀), lakes, bushwalk, and a beautiful boardwalk. My favourite part is the amount of wildlife here, and how educational it can be for kids (and adults alike!). The shire has done a great job with the information boards on the history, flora and fauna. The walk is approximately 1.6km. If you look really carefully off the boardwalk under the Ibis nests you'll seen heaps of turtles soaking up the sunshine πŸŒžβ˜€οΈ The Belmont shopping centre is only a 2 minute drive from here, with cafes, restaurants and a cinema, so if you don't live close by you could easily make a great day of it 😊

Couldn’t agree more! Roleystone is an incredible area, especially this time of the year. So lush and green 😌🌱🌳

KINGSWAY REGIONAL SPORTING COMPLEX 15/08/2020

For all you birds lovers πŸ₯° This area had so much bird life. They're so used to humans that you can get pretty close ❀ Plenty of walking paths to have a stroll and enjoy them πŸƒ

CANNING MILLS RESERVE 12/08/2020

Banyowla Regional Park is such an amazing space to explore. I entered this particular reserve via Canning Mills Road. You can follow Turner Rd all the way down, or venture off the road like I did. As a lot of the fences are down and it's difficult to see the boundaries, I won't share my trail, but all of the trails off Turner Rd are quite obvious, and it's fairly easy to see how they link up.

Stick to Turner Rd for a wheelchair and pram accessible trail. No facilities on this one πŸƒ I did approx 5.5km and did a full loop, so it's not too long 🌳

SECRET GARDEN 11/08/2020

Gwelup's not-so-secret garden 🌿 No wonder this is a portrait photography hotspot πŸ“·. It's beautiful in the winter as well as the summer. Great for kids, just make sure they (and you!) wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy ☺ if you haven't heard of it, this one is in Google Maps (search 'gwelup secret garden'). It's amongst the residential area just off Reid Hwy. There's no trail, this one is purely exploration πŸ₯Ύ

πŸš½πŸ’§No facilities.
