⚡️ The dance floor was absolutely crazy for this one. Jo and Paul at Eight Willows Retreat was amazing. Working alongside the team at White Events at a venue like Eight Willows Retreat is always a legendary combination. From the second the music kicked off, the energy in the room went completely to the next level, especially when Pink Pony Club came on. The floor stayed packed out, the vibe was loud, and then it lifted again when some oldschool classics entered the mix. Massive shout out to Jo and Paul for having me out to bring the noise. 🥂
😂 Apparently these photos are 100 years apart, but I'm not seeing a huge difference. One's a historic masterpiece, the other is my setup from a few days ago. I'll let you decide which one belongs in a museum 🎧
🎶 Ending the night is always epic. It's got that arms-around-your-mates, losing-your voice, vibe. The kind of energy that every wedding needs before the lights come on. These are the lasting memories you’ll think of when you look back in years to come and it’s an honour to be a part of it 🥲

💍 Claire and Callum at Mardella Meadows, and yep, this one had that proper "everyone came ready" energy. Beautiful venue, unreal crowd, and a dancefloor that did not need much encouragement once the party kicked in. A lovely couple and a few mates in the crowd meant the party didn’t stop and when it did, the crowd protested. That’s exactly what you want at the end of your wedding! 🎧
😂 Guests demand answers after the wedding DJ makes leaving the dancefloor impossible. Reports say the vibes were high, the requests were low, and several aunties were seen saying "one more song" at least six times, and that was at 9pm when we were just getting started. More on this completely serious investigation at 6. 🎧

🌿 Outdoor weddings down south just hit different especially when all your guests camp out at your venue. Jon and Ina's day at RAC Margaret River Nature Park had the ultimate setup: incredible food, live musicians, a beautiful bush backdrop, and a crowd that was 100% committed to the party. We had a beautiful bush ceremony with live music playing throughout before moving up to the reception. When Ina asked me for more latin style music, she knew her crowd and they really got around it. The cold sparks added some extra dazzle to that dance floor and there were so many smiling faces all night. I handed over the decks to another DJ to keep the momentum building after my set, and the party literally did not stop until the sun started coming up. 🤙

💍 Great to meet and chat to so many lovely couples at the Rendezvous Hotel wedding open day on Sunday. Such a good day hanging out with some awesome vendors, meeting future couples, and getting a little sneak peek at the people I’ll hopefully be DJing for on their big day. Highlight was definitely having my son visit me at work, who I absolutely did not use for his cute smile and marketing potential 😂

⚡️Not even a cyclone could bring down the vibe at Ben and Cassie at Lamont’s Bishop House. With a great team of vendors and a good wet weather plan, this wedding was hotter than a marquee in January. The dance floor was absolutely cooked in the best way. Their guests came ready to party, and Cassie and Ben brought serious energy to the floor. It had everything from shirts off to shoulder rides, and when Simone Monaco joined us on the sax after the first dance, the party wasn’t slowing down. 🎷
🌧️ Wedding tip from the DJ booth, rain doesn’t have to ruin your wedding day. As long as you’ve got a solid wet weather plan and everyone ends up in the same undercover space, the dancefloor can actually go absolutely off because no one’s disappearing outside, hiding in another room, or sneaking off for a cheeky ciggie. I’ve seen some very fancy weddings get absolutely poured on and still turn into some of the best nights, so stress less, get around it, and let the chaos work in your favour 😉
