The Eyre Hub team at Kimba, SA have spent much time and energy lobbying for government and industry support to build a decent truck stop nearest their town. Located Halfway across Australia", on the nation-critical A1 Eyre Highway, the community-based project has many supporters yet needs more public commitment to deliver. The Eyre Hub initiative is to provide purpose-built facilities for road train and truck driver rest, repair and changeover.

ARE your BOOTs clean?
With the National Wage Increase looming, it's the perfect time to check your BOOTs. All above Award wages/salaries paid to staff need to be checked at least once a year to ensure they meet the Better Off Overall Test.

Our top three tips for a good BOOT?
1) know your Award inside and out (or get help from someone who does)
2) ensure your employees have been provided with a spelt out list of what is in their Above Award rate/salary amount - are your Letters of Employment keeping up to date?
3) keep all your payroll records, including timesheets, overtime, meal breaks, leave approvals and emails references
