Timber Craft Doors

Well it's been a wonderful ride but it's time for a change of career. We started Custom Design's 16 years ago specialising in kitchen's, shoji screens and solid timber doors and I've been a carpenter for over 20 years. I've built some amazing projects including my own house and it's been wonderful working from home. Times are changing in the timber industry and the Australian government would like to end native logging by 2030. We have noticed timber prices just continue to increase due to the timber shortages, some timbers are becoming increasingly hard to get and the building boom is also contributing towards timber shortages. Thank you to all of our wonderful customers that have supported us over the years, we are looking forward to new opportunities in the future 😀

Solid Jarrah Timber floating shelves and a spice rack for this butler's pantry

Loving the look of this solid timber marri flooring, our client's ripped up there old cream carpet and we installed this lovely flooring. We finished it in a natural Osmo oil 🌿🌿🌿 We just need to add beading around the edges then she's done.

Traditional Shoji Screens are a beautiful way to screen off a room. Today we installed these custom made tall screens made from Tasmanian Oak with a teak stain and a PVC insert for the panels. We custom make all of our screens so you can have any design that you like with different combinations of wood, finish and inserts 🌿🌿🌿🌿
