Rachana Gowda, Webuild Supply Chain Graduate, recently had the opportunity to visit the Snowy 2.0 project site, gaining firsthand insight into how her team's work contributes to building Australia's biggest battery.

“The visit provided valuable insight into the planning, coordination, and logistics required to keep a project of this scale moving. It was also a great opportunity to learn from the teams on site and gain a broader perspective on the role supply chain plays throughout the project lifecycle.” – Rachana.

🚧 Creating opportunities for women in construction!
This Supplier Diversity Month, we’re proud to highlight our work with Amarapave, a social enterprise helping create pathways for more women and non-binary people to build careers in construction. As part of their Paving Pathways program, Amarapave is providing job opportunities on the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East project, giving participants valuable hands-on experience in a live construction environment.

Their crew of mostly women has been busy asphalting the Burwood site carparks and internal roads, supporting major construction activities ahead of tunnelling this year.

The partnership is also delivering environmental benefits, using Reconophalt™, an innovative road surfacing material made with high levels of recycled content sourced from multiple waste streams.

Bringing together social procurement, women’s employment and sustainable construction, this is a great example of how our projects can create value beyond the infrastructure itself.

Webuild, as part of Terra Verde Joint Venture, is delivering the excavation of two parallel tunnels for nearly 10 kilometres between the future stations of Box Hill and Glen Waverley, the creation of 39 cross passages between them; two station boxes, two TBM launch sites, and one intervention and ventilation shaft.

🏟 Elite stadium performance!
The Lia Manoliu National Arena stands among Romania’s most important modern sports venues and is recognised by UEFA as a Category 4 “Elite” stadium, the highest classification.

Rebuilt from the ground up, the project transformed the former stadium into a landmark arena with a capacity of up to 63,000.

Designed to host world-class events, the stadium features advanced audio and video systems and a convertible transparent roof that can open or close in just 15 minutes, ensuring flexibility in all conditions. Rising 23 metres and spread across six levels, the structure seamlessly integrates performance, hospitality and operations, from underground facilities for athletes, officials and media, to VIP skyboxes, lounges and restaurants overlooking the pitch.

In 2012, the stadium took its place on the global sporting map as host of the UEFA Europa League Final, confirming its status as a premier European venue.

💧 A cleaner, greener future is taking shape in WA!
Clough, part of the Webuild Group, in alliance with Water Corporation and Jacobs, is proud to be delivering Western Australia’s largest and most advanced wastewater treatment upgrade at the Woodman Point Water Resource Recovery Facility.

This project is boosting capacity and energy self-sufficiency by enhancing biosolid and biogas recovery. Serving nearly 900,000 homes and businesses across Perth, the upgraded facility sets a new benchmark for sustainable infrastructure, helping support a growing population with smarter, greener solutions.
