As we marked National Reconciliation Week and the completion of our third Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we brought together our teams across Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to celebrate our RAP journey so far.
It was a chance to reflect on the progress we’ve made together, share key achievements, and connect over native-inspired refreshments.
In the spirit of the week, we were also proud to launch our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Office Book Collection across each location. This carefully curated collection features works by celebrated First Nations authors, giving all employees the opportunity to borrow a book and deepen their understanding of Indigenous peoples, cultures, achievements and our shared histories.

👷‍North East Link northern site milestones!
At Lower Plenty Road, Spark North East Link successfully broke through the northbound ramp from the entrance to the Lower Plenty box, a significant achievement, with excavation on track for completion in the coming weeks.
Crews have also completed the final base slab pour on the southbound ramp, placing 1,100mÂł of concrete. This milestone enables ongoing works, including Longitudinal Egress Passage (LEP) installation, painting and gantry installation, ahead of handover to the ME&I team.
Meanwhile, northern surface works are well under way. Crews are progressing the Alternative Motorway Control Centre (AMCC) building, culvert roof slabs, and Greensborough Road drainage installation. The first Cement-Treated Base has also been poured for the permanent Greensborough Road southbound lanes.
Webuild, as part of the Spark Joint Venture, is delivering the tunnels as part of North East Link. The project will take 15,000 trucks off local roads every day and reduce travel times by up to 35 minutes for commuters. Once complete, it will be the longest road tunnel in Victoria.

Today is Mabo Day, marking the conclusion of National Reconciliation Week. It is a time to reflect on Eddie Mabo’s landmark High Court victory, which overturned the doctrine of terra nullius and recognised the enduring connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to their land and waters.
This historic decision was a turning point in Australia’s journey, laying the foundation for native title and reminding us of the importance of truth, justice and continued progress towards reconciliation. Learn more about Mabo on Reconciliation Australia’s website: https://ow.ly/HzNe50Z6XmM
We extend our sincere appreciation to Reconciliation Australia, and all involved in making this week a success.
