🚀 We’re excited to announce that the Plus Eight Accelerator investment pool has officially reached $1M, with Spinifex Foundation joining as a new funding partner, as nine startups from our milestone 10th cohort progress into Phase Two.

Over the next couple of months, the founders will continue building and scaling through the program, before heading to San Francisco for our international immersion in October, and taking the stage at Demo Night this November. 🌏

🚀 Yesterday marked the final day of Phase One for Plus Eight Accelerator, with all 14 startups taking the stage to pitch to our program partners and team.

Following an incredible morning of pitches, we came together to determine which startups will progress into Phase Two of the program, while the founders celebrated the end of an intensive and rewarding first chapter together. 💙

Over the coming weeks, we'll be announcing the startups selected for Phase Two, where they'll receive a share of $1 million in seed funding, join an international immersion to San Francisco, and continue their journey towards Demo Night later this year. 👀

🚀 The countdown is on. This week marked the final Phase One session of our milestone 10th Plus Eight Accelerator cohort, with founders stepping up to rehearse their pitches ahead of next week's Phase Two selection.

Each startup pitched, receiving valuable feedback from our programs team as they prepare for one of the biggest moments of the program. Next week, they'll pitch for the opportunity to progress into Phase Two, unlocking access to $1M in shared seed funding, an international immersion to San Francisco, and the chance to present at Plus Eight Demo Night later this year.

The AI Founder Sprint is an intensive 8-week program designed specifically for founders building AI-first products and businesses.

A clear path from idea to pitch. 🎯 The City of Perth Plus Eight Pre-Accelerator covers everything an early-stage founder needs to get moving: business model development, customer validation, product and prototyping, growth marketing, team and legal foundations, and fundraising strategy.

The program wraps up with a Pitch Night on 1 October, where you'll present your business to an audience of family, industry professionals and investors. 🏆

Building a startup can feel like a solo sport, but it doesn't have to be. 🤝 The City of Perth Plus Eight Sprint is built around the belief that some of the most valuable growth happens in community, learning from other founders who are going through the exact same journey.

Sprint creates plenty of space for that kind of connection. Participants also get access to Riff, Spacecubed's innovation hub in the Perth C*D, giving them a dedicated environment to test, validate and grow their ideas between sessions. ✨
