What an incredible experience we had at the ‘Our Wondrous Planet’ exhibition at Melbourne Museum last week. The immersive design showcased stunning beauty and captivating lighting and truly brought the story to life. It’s a fantastic example of the art of exhibition design, and we’re excited to carry a bit of that inspiration with us!

We love celebrating every success, big or small! We are currently in awe of Compac’s sign writer‘s expertly hand-painted version of the original survey of Peninsula Farm onto an exterior wall.

This is part of a larger scope of works being undertaken for the National Trust of WA . Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to add new interpretation to the site.

Today, we honour the life of Louie.
Head of security, ball of fluff, champion napper, and little sausage to those who loved him most.

Louie had a few great loves in life: cuddles, the beach, a good bark at his arch-nemesis (the neighbourhood cat), and of course… chicken. If chicken was around, Louie was never far behind, he could sniff it out faster than any detective. In fact, anyone heating up lunch in the office soon found themselves with a little Louie-shaped shadow, waiting ever so patiently (or not so patiently) for a taste.

He had a way of making everyone who crossed his path smile. Every visitor to the studio made a fuss over him—and rightly so. His presence brought comfort, whether through the warmth of his cuddles, the bright excitement he showed after every walk (treats were non-negotiable), or even his endearing snores that often filled the office.

The hardest part of loving a dog is the goodbye, and Louie’s absence is deeply felt. But his memory, his joy, his quirks, and his unconditional love will live on in all of us.

We love you, Louie. You will be forever missed by your family, and by everyone here at Creative Spaces who had the privilege of knowing you.

We’re excited to celebrate the opening of the refurbished permanent exhibition at the Subiaco Museum!

The redesign has transformed the galleries with new showcases, exhibition graphics, interactives, drapes and displays — all carefully curated to enrich the visitor journey. These updates breathe new life into the museum, making the stories of Subiaco’s people and places more engaging, accessible, and meaningful than ever before.

As the museum approaches its 50th anniversary, this renewal ensures it continues to be a vital cultural landmark for the community and a place where history is shared with clarity and care.

Creative Spaces partnered with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), scientists, and Noongar Traditional Owners to deliver a considered interpretive experience on Goolidja Goorda / Penguin Island.

Designed in alignment with the nesting patterns of the island’s little penguins, the installation ensures their habitat remains undisturbed while offering visitors an engaging and educational experience of the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park. A new shelter features narrative-led signage, a tactile map, and a digital kiosk, alongside two Nature Play Trails that encourage exploration through interactive tasks. These are supported by interpretive panels that share stories of place, nature, and Noongar culture.
