This week at First Steps PreKindy, we are proudly celebrating NAIDOC Week by learning about and recognising the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Each morning, we always come together for our Acknowledgement of Country, helping children develop an understanding of respect for the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we play, learn and grow.

At First Steps PreKindy, we believe that even our youngest learners can begin to appreciate the importance of caring for one another, caring for Country and celebrating the many cultures that make Australia so special.

We look forward to sharing this meaningful week of learning with our children and families.

We're excited to announce that enrolments for 2027are now officially open at **First Steps PreKindy!

At First Steps, we believe every child deserves the very best start to their learning journey. Through play-based experiences, nurturing relationships and small group learning, we help children develop the confidence, independence and skills they need for Kindergarten and beyond.

✨NEW FOR 2027!✨

We're proud to introduce our dedicated Kindy Readiness Program, running Tuesday & Thursday (9:00am–2:00pm).

Designed specifically for children who will be starting Kindergarten in 2028, this specialised two-day program focuses on:
💜 Building confidence and independence
📚 Early literacy and numeracy foundations
🤝 Social and emotional development
🎒 School readiness skills
🌱 Learning through play in a small, supportive environment

Children eligible for Kindy in 2028 are welcome to attend any of our available days, however our Tuesday & Thursday Kindy Readiness Program has been thoughtfully designed to provide additional preparation during their final year before Kindergarten.

Our Little Learners Program also continues to operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with both morning and full-day session options available for children who are three or turning three in 2027.

Together we are exploring:

🖤💛❤️ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures
✨ understanding that we all belong and can make a difference
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we play, learn and grow, and pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
Through these experiences, we hope to help children build an understanding of caring for one another, caring for Country and appreciating the many stories and cultures that make up our community.
Together we can inspire our children to create a future built on respect, kindness and connection. 🌱
