Mini Golf & Lunch at Archie Brothers Karrinyup.

🌊 Saturday 20th June
A train adventure into the city to explore the Ocean Experience, followed by lunch together in Leederville.

These outings are designed for young people who love socialising, exploring new experiences, and connecting with others in a supportive environment.

🤪⚡️ABRACADABRA✨🧟‍♂️

For the past few weeks in our Musical Theatre Class 30 SING/ 30 DANCE/ 30 ACT we have been perfecting our Lady Gaga dance routined!

Taking inspiration from the Abracadabra music video, we took on the role of ‘zombies’ when executing this dance routine. It’s safe to say our performers did an amazing job! ✨

Two weeks left of the term & then it’s time for… SHOWCASE REHEARSALS 🤍🥰

Drama games are such a fun way to build communication and interpersonal skills 🎭

Through copying, identifying, and exploring body language and gestures, students develop confidence, teamwork, empathy, and expression… often without even realising they’re learning!

Because it’s our founder Jasmine’s birthday, here’s a little about her 🎭✨

Jasmine founded ActUp WA when she was just 19 years old & has loved growing it ever since.

We have included some fun facts about Jasmine below so you can get to know her a little better…

🎓 She’s gone to 13 different schools, including dance schools, primary schools, swim schools, University’s & highschool!
🍱 Her favourite food is sushi
🏊 She grew up as a competitive swimmer, however, left swimming to pursue the arts
✅ She loves saying YES to new experiences
🎤 She LOVES singing and learning new instruments
📚 Jasmine often reads at least 4 new books a month
✨ Her FAVOURITE thing about ActUp is her community who she loves truly

We don’t often share behind-the-scenes moments from our actors, but this one was too good not to post 🎭✨

We’ve just finished running a workshop for and we had an absolute blast. Over the five weeks, this group created so many incredible characters, and their acting progression from Week 1 to Week 5 has been amazing to watch.

This short snippet shows the actors’ quick thinking skills and how they’re able to create scenes entirely on the spot.

Throughout the workshop, we worked on communication, voice, movement, character development, improvisation, and so much more to help build their confidence and creativity.

We’re so proud of every single actor involved 👏

What an incredible way to finish our 5-week course with the amazing community at 💙

We had an absolute blast getting to know everyone, sharing laughs, and playing so many fun games together. It’s been such a privilege to work with such a wonderful and welcoming community.

Our top games were:

🪑 Chair Game
🎭 Mime
🚦 Red Light, Green Light

Thank you to everyone who brought so much energy, joy, and fun each week… we loved every minute of it!
