𝐴 𝑞𝑢𝑖𝑒𝑡 𝑔𝑙𝑜𝑤

Made from a single piece of Salmon Gum, this sculptural lamp holds the contrast I’m drawn to — weathered grey timber against softly sanded surfaces, where deep red tones are revealed.

The natural hollow catches the warmth and allows it to settle, creating an ambient glow rather than direct illumination.

A feature piece, shaped by time as much as by hand.

This table lamp is one of the pieces making its way into my upcoming open studio — and honestly, photos don’t do it justice.

The grain, the glow, the contrast in textures… it’s even better in person.

A little something I haven’t made in over two years… hollow wood vases are making a tiny return for my upcoming open studio. 💚

These pieces are just a sample, each one shaped by the natural cavities of the timber and finished with a simple glass vase for small stems or dried arrangements.

I’m slowly bringing a few back for the open studio day — no two ever the same, and once they’re gone, that’s it for a while.

I will be open from 9:30am for a relaxed morning of browsing, chatting and picking up something handmade for yourself or someone special.

I’ll have fresh pottery pieces, a selection of bud vases and maybe one large floor lamp, annnnd..... yes, some hollow vases !!! ✨️

A simple, cosy little setup —with plenty of beautiful pieces to explore.

📣 This Sunday, 21 September, the Kalamunda Community Learning Centre opens its doors from 10am – 4pm.

🎨 Wander through a showcase of creativity, where students and tutors share their art — with some special pieces available to take home.

🏺 I’ll be there with a selection of my pottery and woodwork 🪵 crafted with the same love of texture, form, and natural beauty you’ll find in the Wildwood Collection.

🌱 It’s the perfect excuse for a day in the hills — free entry, welcoming atmosphere, and plenty of inspiration to discover.

Lamps... it's been a little moment.

Friends who visit might know how long this gorgeous wood has been sitting patiently waiting for me to get around to adoring it with some light.

Well, today was the day ☀️

It features a solid jarrah timber base, reinforced with resin for lasting stability. Copper accents and warm LED globe finish the design, enhancing its natural charm and creating a cozy, ambient glow.
