I’ve been reflecting on the live show experience and what makes it so special to me. What I keep coming back to is the fact that there’s nothing between you and the music. As both the musician and the audience.

It’s one of the most ‘in this moment’ kind of experiences cos you don’t get to ever really recapture that same moment. Even if filmed- the feeling of that room only exists in the very moment. I think that’s also what I love most about the small scale rooms, the tiny intimate settings where there’s no where to hide.

This is the kinda magic we are going to create next weekend at four5nine. And I can’t wait to share it with you

I’ll be bringing a bunch of new songs and taking us from the city lights back to the Kimberley landscapes and everywhere in between.

Sooo I took home a couple of awards at the -

🌟WACMA’s ‘EP of the Year’ for To Home & Heartbreak 🌟WACMA’s ‘Alt-Country Song of the Year’ for Angel

But what I didn’t get to do was a proper shout out to the making of these recordings and the guys who brought the songs to life.

Back at the start of 2024 I was really lucky to have & spend 5 days with me n the man himself- James Newhouse at his Bunbury home and studio. Together we sent these songs into their EP form with lots of time, care, fun and studio magic. The songs took on a whole new life from here that I couldn’t even have dreamed up for them.

So big thanks to the best and 💛

And here’s some of the only evidence I have retained of the time as the rest is somewhere on a Samsung phone I could not work out how to save 🫣

It’s a tour time baby!!! ‘All around the South’ is where I’ll be in March/April. Big huge things to come after that (stay tuned)
