Axe the Tax on Healthcare and sign this petition!

Australians shouldn’t have to pay extra to access essential healthcare.

Yet, exercise physiologists remain the only Medicare-recognised allied health service still paying GST.

Exercise Physiologists help people manage chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, cancer, mental illness and chronic pain.

It’s time to Axe the Tax on health. Sign and share the petition today: https://bit.ly/4lcUWGL

This week we’re farewelling Will as he heads off on his next adventure! 🌏✈️

(But don’t worry – he’ll be back with us in September.)

Will has been my right-hand man for the past six years, and I’m so grateful I am for his dedication to Bloom and our community. Thank you!

While we’ll definitely miss having him around, we’re incredibly excited for him to get out there, make the most of this opportunity, and live his best life.

We wish you all the best on your travels and can’t wait to hear all about the adventures when you’re back.

See you soon! 💙

Hello friends and family of Bloom 🫶🏻Jesse is now recruiting for her Masters research project and we would LOVE your help and participation.

This study is exploring motor skills, sleep, physical activity, and emotional wellbeing in children aged 6–12 years, and how we can better support kids who may be finding movement a little more challenging.

If you’re a parent of a child in this age group, or you work with families who might be interested — we’d love for you to take a look at our flyer and reach out for more information.

Your involvement will help us better understand how to support children’s development and wellbeing in meaningful, evidence-based ways.

To learn more or register your interest, send us a DM or get in touch via the contact details on the flyer.

We welcome and encourage you to share this post with your networks 💛

✨ Does your child need a little extra support during Physical Education classes at school? ✨

Maybe the typical loud and fast classes don’t quite suit the needs of a loved one?

We would love to help! At Bloom we offer a mobile service that ensures your child is still able to complete their exercise activity in a schooling environment, but in a pace and space they feel calm and regulated in.

🙂Leaving school during the day isn’t always the most practical approach, so we can come to you instead.

Reach out to us if to learn if our services are the right fit for you 😊💛

✨ HIP & KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS ✨

Are you or a loved one struggling with hip and/or knee pain? Our GLA:D Exercise Class could be for you!

Evidence-informed and research backed, our group classes are designed to help improve pain, function and capacity.

Classes run every week on a Wednesday (10am) and Friday (9am). An initial 1:1 session is required before jumping into class.

Send us a message or forward this information onto somebody you think it might help!

✨ EXERCISING TO BUILD TRUST WITH YOUR BODY ✨

I loveeee seeing our group class participants try movements that they are scared of, or think they can’t achieve.

The Ring Row is a challenge for most, because it requires you to trust your grip strength.

The hop to target is tough because we no longer trust our legs to develop explosive power.

But given the right environment and full belief from their Exercise Physiologist, they powered through both movements!

HAPPY THURSDAY 🫶🏻

✨ PRIVATE HEALTH CODES ✨

Not sure if you’re covered for Exercise Physiology under your private health?

📲 Give them a call and quote the following codes:

👉 102: Initial consultation
👉 202: Subsequent consultation
👉 502: Group class

These codes are the most common but always be sure to double check with your insurer 🤗

💰A new calendar year often means that your rebates have reset, why not make the most of what you’re already paying for 💰
