Cheeky overnighter again.. with the current price of fuel, I was unsure if we'd go. But ended up doing a run.

Was nice to get away for the night again. Hopefully another one soon

Yep. We brought a 200 series.. always wanted one. Finally have one.

105 is not going anywhere. She's now my fun car.
200 will be our touring/towing rig (once it's setup) and daily rig

We had plans this long weekend. But they fell over.

So I spent a day n abit working on the datto. Got part the fire wall cleaned up and welded in the RHS replacement panel, that I took out few months ago.

Also started working on the bottom of the plenum or cowl what ever ppl call them haha. Pending the weather I'll be trying to get more done to it.

Had a night away with these 2.. was nice to get away even for a night. Kids had a ball, little misses first night away from mum too..

Many more to come. Now we are getting back into it.

Datto got some loving today. Drivers door removed. Dash removed. So I could suss out the side panel. I secured 2 brand new panels several months ago. I was trying to fabricate the top section of this panel. Now I've removed the entire panel I'm glad I have there was some hidden rust in there..

More progress on the buck

So the full GSR dash is in. Everything has been rewired ( doing a proton to mitsy conversion means alot of different plugs and wiring)

Rewired the original stereo to work with cleaner wiring.

Next up and getting the front end sorted. Fitting the cooler and piping then trimming the bumper to clear, while trying to keep it looking stockish.

 

So the car I'm doing the conversion on arrived it is a jumbuck,

I've started stripping it down, just need to finish removing the interior harness

First mod started, removing the lower radiator mount and moving it across, to run a full sized radiator. Also started cleaning up the engine bay aswell. This was all today. Plenty more happening over the weekend

I've got this gsr here currently removing all the parts for an upcoming conversion. This is not my car/project tho

Started repairing some damaged wiring and cleaning up the old wiring. Plan to try refresh the lot once I can get it all laid out

More progress made on the datto. Panels I've made so far are welded (not the cleanest welds, still using my gasless, but most are hidden by a larger panel).

Still need to make one more panel. For this area anyway. But I need a bead roller for that

Also started getting the brace for this area ready. So far, it's coated in a rust converter.

I've removed the old peices I made and welded in due to finding out the steel was too thin. (Was told ot was thicker)

I got the correct size and started making new panels..

So far, I have 2 pieces tacked in. Need to tweak the other pieces to fit better..

Finally testing out the new Fab gear.. why didn't I get these years ago haha
