A single shot of the Blood Moon captured from a second camera while the stream was running. Notice the nice little star cluster over on the left :) The fact that you can see stars really shows how dark the moon was....

15 years on. On the 29th November, 1998, my 18 year old self took a photo at the World Trade Centre in New York City. This shot was taken whilst laying on the lobby floor, up through a circular window in the ceiling at the Twin Towers soaring above. The lobby was busy, people from all walks of life were rushing about on their own business, just as they would have been on this day 15 years ago.
Little was I to know the significant, and devastating future for these remarkable buildings when I took this photo. When 9/11 occurred, the world lost more than New York's World Trade Centre. It lost its innocence.
Since that day so many years ago, I've kept this photograph close to my workspace, serving as a constant reminder to me of the fact that nothing lasts forever, and that everything you know can change in an instant.
I consider it a very personal photo, as it holds a great deal of significance and memories of family, friends, and life.
Seeing so many photos of the Twin Towers from different perspectives of it being shared over the years, I am yet to see one taken from this position.
Everyone remembers what they were doing on that day, 15 years ago. Share your experience and help honour the memory of 9/11, the lives lost and the ways in which our world has changed since, for better or for worse.

9/11 Day

I had a great time shooting the action at the official launch of Lace & Button's new premises in North Perth!

It was awesome to meet so many lovely people at the event, and even more amazing to hear about the incredible charitable work that Lace & Button does, too.
