Vale Tomas Lindberg (1972 - 2025). Another one of Woewarden camp's biggest influences departs this year. At The Gates - Slaughter Of The Soul was a game changer in 1995, and without question, our favourite melodeath record of all time. It shall be spin on repeat today 🤘

Tracking for our 4th full length is officially underway. We cannot be more satisfied how it's sounding already. Great to be in studio and creating once more, with plenty more creating to come 👊

It is with great sadness and dismay that we have received the dreadful news of Jürgen Bartsch's passing. Bethlehem Official singer Onielar postet the following statement (here translated from German) on her Instagram account:

"After a serious illness, perseverance and great fighting spirit, our beloved friend and esteemed band founder Jürgen Bartsch passed away on 27 August 2025.

In deep mourning and a broken heart
On behalf of Bethlehem"

Our first thoughts go out to his family and friends to whom we extend our most heartfelt condolences. We also understand that this sad message will be difficult to come to terms with for his many fans and followers. It is a feeling that all of us at Prophecy Productions share. We are in shock and in mourning as the spirit of this label has always been one of community and a big family including the artists.

Martin Koller states: "My heartfelt condolences go out to Jürgen's family and friends", the label's founder writes. "I am still in shock, It is hard to deal with this loss and to convey in a few words what a wonderful human being and brilliant artist Jürgen was – as that needs to be left for later: now we are all bound by grief and sorrow. Rest in Peace, Jürgen!"

To this day, my wife and I will never agree on our favourite band of the two from the 70s: Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath. The latter will always prevail in my heart and in my influences.

From everyone who listens to heavy music, we'll miss you 🙏🤘

It's a decision we'd never take lightly, but the health of all members of Woewarden comes first. Hence, we will no longer be taking part in Heavies & Bevvies to attend to these concerns.
