Artrage
ARTRAGE is a non-for-profit registered charity and Western Australian arts and cultural organisation.
ARTRAGE is proud to hold firm at #4 in Arts & Entertainment in the 2026 Business News Power 500.
For more than 40 years, ARTRAGE has played a key role in WA’s creative landscape, creating platforms for artists, bringing audiences together, and delivering cultural experiences including FRINGE WORLD Festival and Rooftop Movies.
This recognition reflects the work of many people: our artists, audiences, team, Board, partners, donors, venues, volunteers and supporters, as well as the wider WA arts and entertainment sector.
The Power 500 for 2026 is the Business News' list of the individuals who wield power and exert influence in Western Australia’s increasingly complex operating environment. Every year there are endless hours and tireless debate spent on considering each individual who appears with a dozen journalists and researchers involved. These people are powering the State! Congratulations to everyone recognised.
Before the lights come up, there is already so much behind the work.
The idea.
The pressure.
The belief it takes to keep going.
For artists like Noah Scape, support can look like a place to share the work, a community turning up, or a moment that helps everything move forward.
That support matters because art does not stay still. It moves between artist and audience. It helps people feel connected, seen, challenged, understood, or simply less alone.
Back the Bold is about backing the people behind those moments.
The artists. The stories. The spaces where connection begins.
Back the Bold. Back ARTRAGE.

One performance can open the next door.
For Tomas Clifford, support has meant more than one moment on stage. It has helped his work reach new audiences, build creative relationships and continue beyond its first season.
That is what tangible support can look like: a show travelling further, an artist growing their practice, and one opportunity becoming the next.
Back the Bold. Back the Arts.

Today, on National Sorry Day, we acknowledge the strength and resilience of the Stolen Generations, and reflect on the lasting impacts of Australia’s history for First Nations peoples and communities.
As we move into National Reconciliation Week tomorrow, this year’s theme, All In, reminds us that reconciliation requires ongoing commitment from all of us, through listening, learning, truth-telling and meaningful action.
The arts have always created space for stories that challenge, connect and inspire. They help us deepen understanding, share experiences and imagine more inclusive futures together.
As an arts community, being all in means continuing to support First Nations voices, creativity and leadership, while reflecting on our shared histories and the role we each play in reconciliation.
Because reconciliation isn’t a moment. It’s something we actively create together.

We’re incredibly grateful for the Western Australian Government’s continued support of ARTRAGE and Fringe World Festival.
This funding isn’t just about putting on a festival, it’s about supporting artists, arts workers, small businesses and communities right across WA. We are a not-for-profit registered charity with a mission to create spaces where creativity thrives and where artists and audiences connect.
In 2025, ARTRAGE generated over $56 million in direct impact and more than $166 million in total economic activity. That same year, $10.78 million in Fringe ticket sales delivered $8.34 million directly to artists and independent venues.
In 2026, we engaged nearly 500,000 people across 32 suburbs and regional WA, delivering free and affordable events for families and communities.
We’re proud of the role FRINGE WORLD plays in making WA vibrant, connected and creative, and we’ll continue to work hard to ensure this investment delivers for everyone.
