It is a four-session introductory spiritual journey and this course is especially helpful for:
1. New believers wanting to strengthen their foundation
2. Existing believers wanting to better explain their faith to others, and also;
3. Anyone serving in a leadership or shepherding role.

Tomorrow, we begin the season of Lent—a time to contemplate Christ’s journey to the cross and His ultimate sacrifice. As we reflect on the grace extended to all who trust in Him, we are reminded of His call:

“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)

We invite our church community to join us in a season of fasting from February 18th to April 2nd. This is an opportunity to die to sin, deny ourselves, and find our greatest reward in Christ.

Guidelines for Fasting

You may choose a consistent fast or change your focus weekly. If you vary your fast, we encourage you to plan and commit ahead of time to avoid choosing what is most convenient in the moment.

Food: Consider giving up specific food groups, one meal a day, or one full day of eating per week.

Lifestyle: You might fast from social media, music, or shopping.

Time: Consider “fasting” from sleep by waking an hour earlier or staying up an hour later specifically for prayer.

Whatever you choose, be intentional. Fasting is not merely about subtracting a habit; it is about adding greater communion with God. While this season requires discomfort, we embrace this temporary sorrow to better prepare our hearts for the joy of Resurrection Sunday.
