Azariah Felton - Composer

That's a wrap on Fringe 2025!!! (about a week late, I've been recovering). 9 shows, 11 techs, 105 performances, with people and companies from 7 different countries, all packed into 4 weeks.
It's awesome to throw myself into tech mode for a while, working on lights and sound for so many excellent shows. Massive thanks to the artists and companies that had me on board, it was a privilege to help bring these performances to life.

I'm excited to share that my composition for 'Pipedream' by Brent Rollins has been nominated by Performing Arts WA Awards.
This was a really fun production to work on, even while packing up and moving across the world, and I wish to express my gratitude for the nomination.

Bio

Azariah Felton is a composer and sound designer whose work ranges from instrumental concert pieces to sound art and installations, and includes collaborations with dance, film, and theatre. His works have been performed at La Biennale di Venezia Danza, the Montpellier Dance Festival, the Kuala Lumpur International Composers’ Series, and in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. He has collaborated with groups including Ensemble Offspring, First Lights, Brooke Leeder and Dancers, and Annette Carmichael projects, and is a member of the Moving Forward Collective. Azariah graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing arts in 2018 and went on to complete a master’s in fine arts at the California Institute of the Arts, supported by a Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarship. He grew up all over Western Australia, from Denmark to the Kimberley, and remains a country kid at heart. Azariah currently lives and works in Glasgow.

Teaching Info

I can teach you how to get started with music composition and production, including installing software and plugins, setting up your first session, and optimising your setup for your computer.

I can then help you learn the basics of writing music digitally, including using MIDI software instruments, loops, and recording your own audio.

If you are already writing your own music, I can teach how to mix an master it better, so that it sounds more professional no matter where you release it.
