A few days before handover the clients generously put on some drinks for the Saltus and MDC teams. A huge thank you for the trust you placed in us. It was an absolute pleasure working with you on such a special home.

Massive shout-out to the Saltus crew for the hard work and craftsmanship throughout this project and the year. Special mention to on completing his first full build as a site supervisor. After 5+ years with Saltus and stepping into the supervisor role 18 months ago, this was his first project from start to finish. Huge effort 👏

We were so pleased to hand over our Manning Haus project to our clients in 2024, who have settled in and given it some finishing touches inside and out. This timber framed home with rigid wood fibre cladding and a lime render finish combines high performance building with modern design.

We are particularly proud for this project to be recognised in the Sustainable Home category. From the timber frame design and wood-fibre insulation to the uPVC double-glazed windows and HRV system, this project represents the type of high-performing Passive Haus principled building we are passionate about at Saltus Built. Creating functional and sustainable homes using innovative products and expert craftsmanship.

A big thanks to our clients, who had an unwavering commitment to building a different type of home that was just as focussed on function as it was aesthetics. Working collaboratively with Lean Haus Architects, we were able to bring this concept to life.

We can’t do what we do without our amazing team of Saltus Built carpenters, and the many expert trades and suppliers we work with. A win shared by all.

Our Como project is only a few weeks away from handover! This home designed by uses passive house design principles to create a high-performance home for our client.

The building has been clad in wood fibre panels - a premium insulation system made from natural wood fibres, supplied by

The panels are finished with Argatherm - a lime based render supplied by , which has some great thermal properties and high vapour permeability.

And on top of all that we this build has some serious street appeal - the team has thoroughly enjoyed putting their skills to work on those epic timber feature trusses 🙌🏼

Shou-Sugi-Ban is a Traditional Japanese method of charring timber with fire. The process forms a carbon layer on the exterior of the boards which protects the timber and makes it almost maintenance free.
